Part of the 10% is that Ukraine wants their 19,000 children back that Russia has taken. Russia has only returned 1,236. Most of new borns went to families, but there are at least 57 reeducation facilities in Russia and Belarus.

And Russia is zero percent on board. Im curious to see when people here will have to finally admit that Russia always has been the aggressor in this conflict. Seems like a few are slowly coming around.
That will never happen on this board.
Putin is good and Z is bad to them.
Even though Russia invaded Ukraine they blame Ukraine and Z for keeping the war going by trying to defend themselves.
They also said EU was going to cause WW3 simply for trying to help Ukraine.
No blame for Russia at all.
Don't waste your breath trying to convince anyone.

I don't believe that little motherfricker for any reason.

Well yeah, Biden practically talked them into invading.

So why is everyone blaming Ukraine?

Honestly?
If I were Z I would sign onto most cease fire deals offered, as it would benefit the Ukrainians far more than the Russians right now. Granted, the devil is in the details, so I'd have to see it before it was offered, but if any real cease fire benefits him a lot more than the Russians.
Problem is Russia can't really agree to a cease fire as their in the act of launching their spring offensive, so there isn't going to be one because Putin is dumb enough to think he has an advantage when he doesn't - running untrained, under-equipped, middle-aged alcoholics up against modern machine guns isn't getting the Russians anywhere fast and it's only exhausted his artillery and armor. I argue Russia is F'd, in a word but a stupid KGB agent with no military experience and no real, actual military mind to tell him 'sir, this isn't a good idea' isn't going to acknowledge that.
So there isn't any real hope of either a cease fire or peace in the coming months, probably even this calendar year.
Of course, I could be wrong, but I just don't see it.

Trump brought peace to the Middle East, about to end the Ukraine wasteful war and still won't win a Nobel Peace Prize

But what will we do for rare earth minerals without Chyna!!
I don't want to be argumentative, because Roger's wrong about just about everything. But as I understand it our problem is not just mining the materials but refining them into useful forms and that's apparently very difficult. That's where China has the world by the balls, and it isn't just the US. They reportedly have 85% of the worlds refining capacity.
How that ever became acceptable to the rest of the world, I have no idea. Trump's right though, we have to fix US external depency on foreign essentials. Not doing so will end with natural selection on a large scale.

He's an idiot.
If he just played along with Trump, Putin would have pissed off Trump, and Z would have gotten even more money and weapons.

No,
Russia is going to lose.
Big Difference.

I don’t blame him as a statesman, but realistically it means we can’t assume he’s going to broker a reasonable deal as long as he sees any path to continuing the conflict.
I don’t see any deal lasting more than 6 months with the Z man in charge.

Exactly, he is just dragging it out. Buying time.

The problem Z has is that they lack bodies to now reclaim any territory that Russia currently holds. Russia knows this as well and has been using NK and Chinese cannon fodder to keep up the pressure while they roll into the summer recruitment period.
Ukraine gets weaker day by day in this fight, just as Russia does from a global fighting force perspective. The problem is Russia is weakening at a slower rate now (primarily due changes in tactics and getting artillery shells from NK) and the Ukraine is in serious trouble without a heavy dose of American weapons.
The major mistake was Ukraine not signing off on the rare earth deal when they first had the chance. Once that fell through and the US shut down both the flow of weapons and targeting information it has become painfully obvious that the “support” and brotherhood promised by Europe is nothing without the US involvement.

Which I believe was an incredibly dumb move by Z because the minerals deal was his security guaruntee. He needs to get through his head that is never joining NATO.

Probably when you and others "finally admit" that Russia was "provoked".
