Thanks for the kind words, EKG. I respect your zeal on this issue even if view it much more of a Don Quixote quest than you. As I said to someone earlier, the question is not can Texas be independent in a vacuum. Of course they can. The stats you just gave clearly show that. The question is can they do it when the US doesn’t want them to and actively opposes it. You mentioned 140 countries becoming independent states and how it can be done. Awesome. How many of them did it while breaking away from the US and the US saying no. It’s not an apples and apples comparison. Your talking apples and platypus.

These dummies in Texas put CRT/Diversity Equity and pronoun people into virtually all leadership positions in state institutions. I don't even have to look up who the president of the University of Texas is or the president of the Texas bar association is, or countless other posts to know they probably push CRT and "diversity". They have you flanked. How do you think they took over most of corporate America?

While you're driving around with a flag in the back of your truck they are putting in work to climb ladders in every random institution that exists.

There's literally conspiracy after conspiracy being thrown around here, yet you want to asked me for proof what Texas would be cut off from the rest of the US, EU, and the western world? Do you also seek evidence that water is wet?

Arkansas is poised to become the nation's leader in steel production with three million tons of steel per year. That will push Arkansas past Pennsylvania as the leader in steel production. 900 jobs with an average salary of $100,000.

Arkansas sits on one of the world's largest lithium resources.

Not bad for a welfare state.

Its the only way we can destroy the evils in D.C. and focus on spending our tax money in Texas...not in Afghanistan, Vietnam, Iraq, Ukraine, and the Military Industrial Complex...but on Texas! And hopefully other Americans will join the fight against those Tyrants in DC.

I don’t have a problem with putting it to a vote, I just think it’s weird that you do. Optimistic projections are that, at most, 30% of voters in a statewide election would support this. And I find that number extremely generous myself, given I don’t believe it factors in how many fearful voters would truly turn out against the proposal. The turnout in the blue metro areas would be at an all time high, higher than even any national election.

You must realize this will get crushed if it ever gets to a vote and would squash the ambiguities that the movement currently relies on. A vote would show just how unpopular this idea truly is among the mainstream public and what little traction it may have had dies.

I would love to see this come about. America desperately needs a wake up call.

In a perfect world with the US and the rest of the world opening their doors and supporting us? Sure. Independence would work.

But there's no way in hell there can ever be an amicable departure. Just about every state in the Union depends on Texas. Losing us would hurt them too much to let us walk freely. People with non-Texan flairs only push for a TEXIT if it means having open borders for their welfare arse or taking their shite state with us (which won't happen since it would mean taking on dead weight). The moment we leave is the moment we lose access to a market of over +300 million people + every developed western country in the world. Who are we going to sell our oil to? Venezuela? Iran? North Korea? China?

Which brings me to my next point (which I doubt many of your separatist comrades have even considered), what happens in the world stage? America has been the balancing world power that has kept other oppressive regimes from taking over the world. In the 30-40s, it was Germany, in the 50-90s, it was USSR, and today it is China. The demise of the US would make China the defacto world superpower. What happens when they start to insert their regime in other countries and eventually reach our doorstep? They want the US to fail and are probably releasing disinformation agents across the web to do your bidding. They already control Africa and would love nothing more than to control the Americas.

If China wants what you want, then you probably don't want it.

I do.

It’s the road that’s typically taken in every similar circumstance.

But it’ll eventually change. I promise. Maybe not in our lifetimes, but at some point.

My concern is for my babies; and it’ll eventually happen.

I fully support all issues being voted on by the people and not politicians who bought their way to power.

That being said, in a time and age where high ranking politicians are telling citizens of a different state how to register in another to vote for a particular party....this would not go well. This would get dirty and fast. They would find a way to label any and all persons who supports this a racist and traitor.

This would end in violence IMO and it's unfortunate

If Texas left (which is a bad idea on its own), it would be stupid to take the smaller states with us. Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and other southern states are just welfare states that drag the country down.

Well if the states become sovereign nations they would have all the power they need to shed the draining and violent portion of their populations.

It doesn’t matter how popular it is; it’s illegal and won’t happen.
