re: Breaking: Supreme Court Blocks Trump’s Use of Alien Enemies Act to Deport Illegals

The issue of illegal immigration here is compounded by our nanny / entitlement state. Illegals come here and get free food, shelter, medical care, schooling, and work for cash and don’t pay taxes. We need to punish illegals harshly but we also need to remove the incentives.

I already explained to this fricktard yesterday that “inalienable rights” and “God” aren’t in the constitution yet he keeps applying quotes as if it is. I sent him a link to the full PDF of the constitution which he obviously has never read.
This statement... and the use of the word "fricktard" towards anyone other than the author of this statement... is proof of the failures of civic education in this country.
The Declaration of Independence - you know, one of the foundational documents of this NATION (not government, that would be the Constitution) - recognized an acknowledged the EXISTENCE of certain rights that are GOD-GIVEN and that AMONG those (i.e., these were not the only ones) are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Stated another way - these rights come from GOD, not government.
The Constitution (including the Bill of Rights) does not grant any rights. It provides a structure to the government and constrains the government from interference with rights (including the acknowledged God-Given rights from the Declaration).

We need a citizenship ID. Other countries have them. What’s so bad about that? We don’t want to offend illegal aliens?

That's how the Supreme Court's Jesters, uh I mean Justices, can keep the Democrats off their asses! Remember how they wanted to pack the court cause they didn't like the rulings....well, now they're tickled pink with this bunch.
P.S. Amy Coney-Barrett, the Trump pick from Metairie, LA. has turned out to be a bleeding heart liberal and just like James Carville, is an embarassment to our state.

Sounds like the Administration lost the benefit of the doubt with the absurd, “we can’t get him from El Salvador” nonsense. SCOTUS seems to be getting ahead of that happening again.

SC wants the president to stop the one thing that is above all, to protect this nation from both foreign and domestic threats. This Maryland man fits multiple categories of the threats. Good thing Biden’s precedent of ignoring the SC decisions were also ignored by media and democrats alike, they should continue with that right Dems ?

SCOTUS didn't rule on the merits, just said it has to decided by the 5th circuit, then it could be appealed.

Take a midol and calm down. Don't be a toddler and throw a tantrum anytime you're told "no".

How about a Teams meeting to have his due process hearing? Doesn’t matter if he is in El Salvador and he’s not back in the USA. If the President of El Salvador doesn’t give him up if the guy wins and we request it, oh well. We tried.

The CT bros won't be happy with you

Looks like we lost our nation guys.
Because of a temporary order? This is the way things work.
I really hope the Democrats keep this up though. It is a non-winning strategy. If they had any type of leadership, they would realize this. Let's hope they don't find a Moderate to lead them.

At this point, it's pretty clear the A in ACLU does not stand for "American."

The "Trump is violating court orders" narrative is a strong one..
Trump is already losing support on immigration
quote:
An April Echelon Insights survey of 1,014 likely voters found that 54 percent approve of Trump's actions on immigration, with 44 percent disapproving, giving the president a net score of plus 10 points.
A previous Echelon Insights poll of 1,007 likely voters, conducted March 10-13, found that Trump had a net approval score of plus 18 points (57 percent approve to 39 percent disapprove).

Trump and his team believe that the president has public opinion on their side for both Abrego Garcia and their plans to send alleged criminals to El Salvador. He campaigned on conducting mass deportations and he won many counties along the U.S.-Mexico border that historically voted Democratic in the wake of an influx of migrants during the Biden administration.
But a new poll shows his support is cracking. Echelon Insights, a Republican polling outlet, released a survey of Trump’s approval rating on various policies and it showed that Trump is losing support on immigration.
The poll revealed that Trump’s approval rating on immigration fell from a net score of plus-18 points to a net score of plus-10 points, a drop of eight points in just weeks.
Echelon is one of the most respected polling firms on the Republican side. The firm’s founding partner, Patrick Ruffini, has written extensively about Trump’s appeal among working-class voters.
The echo chamber is still in denial over this. It's going to claim these polls are fake and attack the source. When this keeps up and is revealed to be true, they'll get to the rage part and talk about how stupid America is being influenced by MSM (after saying for months the MSM was dead due to X and podcasts).

No this scheme by the admin can apply just as much to citizens. Removing proper due process and guardrails from overextended, illegal government action, means that illegality would apply to citizens as well.

The decline in the polls are inevitable because the reporting is so one sided.

And the laughably limpdick response of “oh well, we can’t do anything to get him back”
Either Trump is so impotent that Bukele is cucking the frick out of him or El Salvador is such a black hole that a nationwide injunction preventing removal before due process is necessary.
The reality is the Admin isn’t doing shite to get him back because they don’t want to. Everyone with a room temperature IQ can see the wink-wink between Bukele and Trump/Miller. Which is why SCOTUS did what they just did.
