Then by using this logic, they MUST reinstate Title 42. You can't say masks are required due to Covid risk and then let hundreds of thousands of illegals into the country unvetted.

And absolutely zero that empower the CDC to mandate masks on airplanes (or anywhere else).
You do understand that, in order for an unelected and unaccountable executive agency to do something, it has to be granted that authority from Congress, correct? And that rules and regulations implementing that authority have to be in compliance with the APA?
What is the cite in the US Code for this grant of authority, and what rules were promulgated by the CDC in order to enact it?

Promoting public health is a far cry from CDC imagining it has the authority to enforce a mandate on public transportation.
Not like this isn't the first time a judge (or several) have had to step in because the CDC made up rules it wasn't qualified to do. The SCOTUS ruled against the CDC for the eviction moratorium, but your tiny brain doesn't remember that...
