Any examples of this?

There have been two Twitter knockoffs - Gab and one that starts with a P.

Mysteriously the apple App Store and Google App Store refused to allow access to them.

Crazy arse Alex Jones was simultaneously banned off of Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube on the same day.

You can “conspire” to eliminate competition and/or restrain trade. It’s the essence of an antitrust case. Big Tech either as related entities or conspiring with unrelated entities is committing antitrust violations, and its apparent.

I tell you what libtards. Go raise $100 million to start a competitor to Twitter or Facebook and see how far you get.

You will be blocked from doing business with numerous tech companies needed to enter the market by the tech giants.

Go on, try it.

Of course? Freedom of speech anyone?

Your big brain [sarcasm off] is going to have to explain to me how Standard Oil, or Ma Bell being broken up by antitrust violations was a violation of their speech?

Cuz the breakup of social media wont be either

They always say..."derr if you don't like it, start your own social media platform ".. but when people do start their own social media platform, all the big social media platforms team up and make sure it doesn't really take off.

They better make it count. Too many sheep, and I am talking about a lot of our nation’s population will believe what is on Facebook, Twitter, etc. The studies showing the influence of these companies is beyond concerning.

I don't see how the anticompetitive argument holds water when Google service is free and you can do a search for Bing or Duckduckgo, get a result at the top of the page and go to a rival search engine.

Need to start with Google and Facebook

I would only go after Google. Hardcore. Break it up, AT&T style. The search engine, the mobile phone business, Gmail, Maps, and other owned businesses like Whats App and Waze are all broken into constituent parts and spun off as independent entities with data sharing firewalls established. Android phones can no longer ship with Gmail.

Take a sledgehammer to it.

The others will get the message...and if they don't, Amazon is next.

Having an arm of the government force a private business to enact certain policies is decidedly not in favor of the free market.

Having an arm of the government prosecute either a civil or criminal case because its politics differ from that of a ruling party is even worse.

Generally speaking if customers are unhappy with a company's services they leave.

Why are people not abandoning this service they hate?

Why are we resorting to have government solve this problem?

When those businesses coordinate with other businesses to lock competition out of the market, i.e. Twitter, Apple, etc., they are not functioning within a free market either.

These entities ARE the gate keepers to the internet.

This is no different than Standard Oil or Bell, imo.

Theres a super simple solution that will quickly send the right message for this behavior... quit using said service.
