I guess breaking through a door isn’t as menacing as running from police.
You think the police officer in Minnesota is going to escape charges? Lol.
You’re such a fricking hack.

this is interesting
so the five or so CPD officers and SRT members in the Hall on the same side of the door with her did not feel threatened by her, but the simple act of going through a broken window was enough to make her a threat to a single officer with his weapon drawn on the other side of the door?

He was also behind the officers immediately in front of the door by a few feet. He was in no danger whatsoever.

Trying to decipher the DOJ statement,
quote:
The investigation revealed no evidence to establish beyond a reasonable doubt that the officer willfully committed a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 242. Specifically, the investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber. Acknowledging the tragic loss of life and offering condolences to Ms. Babbitt’s family, the U.S. Attorney’s Office and U.S. Department of Justice have therefore closed the investigation into this matter.
Go figure...

She was an Air Force veteran. I'm not aware that we started inducting complete idiots into the Air Force, so I wonder what she would have said someone breaking onto an Air Force base could expect.
More than anyone else, she fricking knew better than to do what she did.

Do you ever feel bad that you are one of the lucky ones to escape the harmful culture you were brought up in, only to spend your adult life arguing that actually the culture is fine, it’s “the system” that is holding down your people?
There are black students in awful high schools all across America who are being deprived of opportunity because of their shitty classmates, and you don’t give a shite. You have made it your life calling to defend to the end those shitty masses.
Meanwhile, many of those black students who try and have an eagerness to make something of themselves aren’t as lucky as you were. They are held down by those that YOU insist are victims.
Mofo

Hopefully, "he" will do the right thing and we'll all be reading about "him" in the obits, soon.
Sorry, not sorry.

Not at all. See the difference here isn't about race, it's the actions that led to her death and the police force that responded. Trying to break through our Capitol's inner-doors why people are screeching "hang Mike Pence"
Exactly. But you have these dumbasses on here who are dumber than dirt who think she was a hero. They'll babble for the rest of the day about how they should riot, but not one of them has the balls.

Never said she did, only that she was a part of a violent mob that attacked police officers. But you know this.
What she did was put her head past the point of no return because she was a privileged moron who didn't think the rules applied to her.
And of course you think its all about race lmao. Any thing that threatens the potential of creating the Iran-like theocratic ethnostate that you want here in America is gonna have you angry drooling.

I thought this boards stance was "don't break the law and you won't get killed by police"

On the other hand you have an officer who was nowhere near an individual who was clearly not a threat in any way and was surrounded by other officers both in front of and behind her. This fool fired blindly into a hallway that had OTHER POLICE OFFICERS IN IT!
the real irony here:
the CPD were blocking the doors, then they get out of the way when the one guy hands the riot helmet to another guy. The second guy then takes the riot helmet and uses it to break the window with the cops standing right there watching him. Then they all get out of the way while Babbitt goes through that exact window to the other side and gets shot. So the shooter cop was put in jeopardy by the inaction and complicit behavior of the CPD officers on the opposite side of the door allowing helmet guy to break the window that Babbitt went through.

They are too busy losing their culture war to hold principled positions.
