How many LSU counts were cracking jokes at Florida's expense because a fricking football game got moved? That actually happened. I mean, all's fair until someone makes a Katrina joke, amirite?
How many people died on Florida's campus?
Why do you two, so desperately, want to make jokes about Katrina?

Your argument was that they were just coming here looking for a better life, but can't do it legally.
No. My argument was that we shouldn't be cracking jokes at the misfortunes of others who are seeking a better life.
You're the one who waltzed into the conversation asking why they can't come in legally.

And I asked why they aren't coming in legally. But you don't have an answer.
I'm done with you, this isn't moving forward. All you had to do was answer the question, instead you just threw out insults.

Geez. People crack jokes about quite literally everything. If it bothers you, don't laugh or get a thicker skin. Sheesh.

They aren't coming in legally because they can't. It's easier for them to come in illegally because they can't get the required paperwork necessary to come here legally. Now. would y'all quit your bickering back and forth please? Worse than my two youngest kids.

The point is that nobody can point out on this board that setting up a tourist observation deck on a border wall is in bad taste without getting attacked for it. It's not even critiquing the jokes posters have made about setting up a shooting gallery--just the idea of tourism at the wall.

You're one confused individual. What does "not cracking jokes at the misfortunes of others" have anything to do with the avenues of legal migration??? You brought it up, not me.
This isn't left vs. right or Democrat vs Republican thing. This is a common decency thing. What your political stances on immigration are have nothing to do with how we talk about immigrants.
I don't know where you get off thinking it is my duty to explain to you the complicated process of legal migration. You brought it up, not me. Go back and read and then go to Google for your answer.

Fair enough. But the same folks cracking jokes took issue with my Katrina reference. The hypocrisy of this board needs to be pointed out.

Depends on the border wall, doesn't it? The Great Wall of China is a fantastic tourist attraction. Why couldn't this wall be modeled after that? Of course, I'm certain that, when it was built, the Great Wall of China probably wasn't so much of a tourist attraction, was it?

If not, the world stops turning.
Do you have other boards that you play morality police on as well or are we the lucky ones?

I'm a little concerned about where the line of joking begins and ends with some of these posters wanting to pay to shoot people

Still lame.
They are not immigrants, they are criminal aliens. Turn your lame arse perspective around. In your opinion there is no difference between legal immigrants and criminal aliens???
If you are able to comprehend the difference...what is that difference?

WOW.....who ever is writing these spec's is a fricking genius. Aesthetically pleasing??? There is no way to quantify that.....so what happens is the contractor designs a drab arse exampl
it's good to see that you have no idea what your fricking talking about as it relates to Government Contracting but that it didn't stop you from offering your uninformed opinion. Now far be it from me to defend the entire Government Contracting process because it has many flaws. But they have these cool things called design reviews that are Milestones at multiple stages in the Contracting process. PDRs, CDRs etc. In addition typically there are government Representatives that are part of the IPT in the design process.
This stuff isn't super secret either you can look it up if you actually want to be informed
So why don't you enlighten us as to how you quantify aesthetically pleasing?
I deal with this everyday and have for the last 25 years...and I assure you it gives bidders a boner to find such language Ina RFP or any sort of request for input.....and it causes all sorts of problems going forward...
So come on, skippy...quantify aesthetically pleasing...

This thread got way too serious.

is how government spending gets out of control. You don't see shite like "aesthetically pleasing" being used as a performance metric in the private sector....and savvy estimators see shite like that and start salivating at the idea of the change orders that will be forthcoming....
This paragraph really amused me.
It's fun when people sort of are familiar with a subject but not really.
If I were you I just sort of avoid this discussion from here forward
So step right up skippy and quantify aesthetically pleasing.......
I only have 25 years of experiencing correcting such mistakes in suc documents.....

It's subjective, is it not? I would imagine that the extent of "aesthetically pleasing" would depend on the subject being evaluated.
It would seem that, when the subject being evaluated was a wall, running thru remote areas, the standard would be quite low.
But you have more experience in those types of evaluations. How would you quantify aesthetically pleasing when it comes to a wall running thru remote areas?
