Boeing’s HQ is in Arlington, VA.
How many planes do they make in Virginia?
Their "headquarters" is where it is so they don't have to go far for their most important mission - kissing the right asses.

Did you watch the press conference in the oval with he and Pete?
Paraphrasing, but probably dead on: "the F-47, it's a beautiful number..."

Like all major military contracts, this will be a disaster.

Maybe they do, but I wouldn't expect it to go unchallenged

wasn't the F-22 Raptor considered a huge success for LMT?
When they first won the contract, they were expecting a 600+ aircraft buy. Congress killed the program after building less than 200. It was just too damned expensive and bug-ridden. We had one at the airport i worked at years ago that was stuck there because a missile bay door came open and wouldn’t close. They had to fly in an engineer from Lockheed to get it closed. They also had to cut a pilot out of his cockpit because the canopy system wouldn't cycle. Thats how it is with all of our weapons: expensive, buggy, underperforming. We seem to settle for the bugs and just buy fewer now.

You liberals are a goddamn broken record. Constantly repeating the lies that PBS and Al Jazeera fed you. "Boeing bad!" Just like "Orange Man Bad!"

what the hell are you talking about

Well this is a bummer for me because I work for LM on and off. Currently at Bell, but was looking to go back to LM if they won this gig. Have my security clearance and ready to go.
People complain about F-22, yeah it had some avionics issues early on and some control issues, but all that stuff is expected when you're dealing with new jets that have new requirements, etc. As far as doing it's job the F-22 is the awesome in terms of close air to air and beyond visual range.
The F-35 has had it's issues and bugs. The amount of automation of flight controls that occur, things will happen. The amount of code that is required to keep them in the air is unreal. There are always growing pains. It's like designing and building a car and it's systems.
Personally I wish LM would've won but I think this is unfortunately a lifeline to Boeing. There are good engineers there and they have done great work with F-15EX and Super Hornet.

They need to stop hiring people off the street that have never worked jets before and only hire prior military aircraft maintainers.

Boeing is a terrible, terrible company...so yeah i'm a little surprised
Yep.
Hopefully, the contracts leaves no wiggle room and explicitly precludes any and all DEI.
