We have already established you think cops shooting a nonviolent unarmed person is justifiable. Kind of hard to then say cops shooting a guy as he was violently attacking cops isn't justifiable. Unless of course, race and political leanings factor into who you think it is okay for police to shoot and not shoot.

Who would want to be a cop anymore? Nobody.
The quality is going to go further down and the money is going to be less. We will all pay for this stupid BS. Mostly started by criminals.
This female officer fricked up. No doubt. She might pay with a great deal of her life.
This kid got himself killed by trying to flee the scene after being told he has a warrant and driving without insurance. Also, bet the mom knew he had warrants.

just imagine the same scenario but the perp was white. No riots probably barely even reported and no one accuses the cop of hunting the suspect they just say it was an accident and everyone would take it as face value. Because the perp is half black the media and race baiters including BLM turn it into something it clearly is not!

The mayor wanted the killer cop fired. The chief didn't fire the cop. The city manager wouldn't fire the chief of police so the mayor fired the city manager and took control of the police department.
The chief and killer cop both resigned because they knew that they were going to be fired by the mayor.
The killer cop will likely be indicted for involuntary manslaughter and the sooner the better for the community.

Cases in which a service pistol is mistaken for a Taser are rare
Cops have used the same excuse for shooting people multiple times. In most of the cases the killer cop faced no charges.
Cops believe that they can safely pull their gun and murder someone if they yell "taser taser" before firing the bullet. I think that every such case was intentional murder.
Tasers are yellow. Potter's service weapon was black. Potter aimed the gun, hesitated, yelled taser taser and then fired. Potter had a perfect view of her aimed gun for several seconds before she fired. When she resigned Potter said that she loved every minute of her career as a cop. Potter loved the second that she fired the fatal shot and she loved every minute while the young man died.
