These tasers are not nearly as certain to be effective as some might think.

A 200lb man on speed can shrug off a tazer. I seen it.

The taser is considered a weapon. People have died from being tased. His action of turning a firing the taser at the cop, puts the exchange to a different level.

Maybe the solution is as follows ....Several Police Forces abandon high speed chases. Especially when the cops already have license plate information. If he runs, let him go. Impound the car. Someone will have to come back to get it ...Arrest them. Most likely the perp will lawyer up and turn himself in.

I blame the cop ...he apparently is need for more training. After all, according the Biden the stupid basement dweller ...The cop should have simply shot him in the leg.

I wonder what the policies and training manual say about a pepr taking a weapon from a cop?

A couple things are clear. Those officers treated the deceased with complete respect. There is not even a hint of any sort of racial bias. The first officer allowed him back into his car, and to move freely.

They tried to bring him in calmly and with out incident. Even after he resisted they tried to use non lethal force and calm him down.

There was cause to shoot. If that officer gets tased, a lot of bad can happen. He cannot allow that guy to flee with his taser, and he cannot allow himself to be tasted.

I find it particularly heartbreaking when he asks for an update on the deceased's condition. He didnt want to shoot that guy. He was doing what he had to do.

The Polk Co sheriff has a great line.

He came here looking for a gun fight so we gave him one.

Reporter: why did you shoot 68 times?

Sheriff: we ran out of bullets

Bottom line was this guy tried to resist as soon as he knew he was being arrested for being intoxicated while operating a vehicle.

He knew he was guilty yet he still chose to resist arrest. Then if that wasn't bad enough he fought the officers, physically throwing punches then eventually getting one of the officers tasers then running and firing the taser at them.

This is the problem. The guy chose his fate when he took the action he did. The black community needs to really watch this in its entirety and learn "what not to do" in this type of situation.

I believe both prongs/wires must stick in the skin firmly in order to make the necessary complete circuit. If one doesn't stick well enough or at all....no shock.

Lafayette PD already does this...for some time now actually. They are not allowed to participate in a high speed chase. Mainly this is to not put others at risk. But yes some LE agencies already practice this.

See how body cam is so helpful...

Now make the black attorney apologize for inciting violence...or have his license revoked...

You can not make the statements they made last night without accountability

That settles it

Order the golden casket. Get the caravan ready. We got a 7 state funeral tour to prepare for. Call the politicians. Let the celebs know.

We need to pimp this MFer out and make sure we maximize the chaos potential for maximum destruction

These officers did absolutely nothing wrong. Their actions were 100% appropriate, including firing upon the subject, clearly a danger to the officers and to others in the vicinity.

Tasers aren’t 100% effective but, given he was passed out in a drive thru, he was clearly on something.

I highly doubt it was meth given he was sleeping though.

YouTube comments are amazing. Idiots still defending the drunken assaulter. There’s zero reasoning with the left. I’ve never seen anything like this. One other dude called another a Trump conspiracy theorist despite Trump never being brought up.

Apparently setting the Wendy's on fire is the appropriate response.

I love the Monday morning quarterbacking by the media. The Fox News anchor was literally just criticizing the officer for commenting that his adrenaline was still pumping and implying it was evidence that the officers did not follow their training.

Really? Has he ever been in a fight were the other party is attempting to inflict serious bodily harm or death? That's low even for Fox.
