or a crazy thought that came to mind is what if the pilot shot the other 2 members before crashing the helo?
Whoa. That is a crazy thought. But hijackers killing flight crews and then downing aircrafts has happened before.

It happened in the 80s from a flight from L.A. to Monterey in California.

Some black dude ( baggage handler) of the Airline who had personal problems and mental issues, who got fired but was allowed "a jump seat" , didn't have to go through security because he had kept his employee credentials, boarded the plane with a gun.

Once airborne, shot a passenger and a Stewardess went into the Cockpit, shot the Pilots, then put the Plane in a nosedive. There were no bodies to be found, everything and everyone was disintegrated into a hole in the ground.

JTF-NCR/USAMDW

There are two women that I see. One with braids. One with brunette hair. Biut who knows?

They carry around Generals/brass Pentagon that want a helo-lift.

And they drill on continuation of govt. carrying DC big wigs to the bunker in the mountain in nuke war or attacks--- that is no longer classified, But not widely known.

Here, mate I know you will axe.

Still doesn't make sense. Why kamikaze into a smaller engine plane. Why not take out a larger target if you are trying to send a message.

What evidence you have this was DEI related?

At this point, we know the left has pushed DEI hiring standards for years in the military and ATC. Both the woke military and short staffed ATC were involved here.

Did she not?

Think everybody is looking at the DEI thing in the wrong light. The argument shouldn't be "hey a midget/LBQT/trans/quadriplegic whatever person was at the helm and is their fault". That should only apply if every role is filled and you turned away capable/better applicants.

The argument should be that 1000 qualified applicants weren't hired in roles where they needed bodies. That should tell you that they were ONLY using DEI to fill spots. I can't think of another reason why all of them were turned away if there was numerous spots to fill.

Military personnel don't deviate from orders.

Exactly. No military aviator has ever busted airspace. Ever. In the history of time. Just this one time. Clearly intentional .

your right. Of course she would follow orders in the busiest air space near the busiest airport in the USA. One deviation can cause a catastrophic event killing 10s or 100s of people, oh wait. Only she didn't.

I will say this, 100ft sounds like a lot but if you aren’t paying attention you can cover that in a climb really fast.

Yes, there is blame in this incident. I am just trying to figure out who is at fault? If it’s a 3 way responsibility between the air traffic controllers, the instructor, and the student pilot that’s fine. If the problem is the student pilot was allowed to train despite not being qualified that’s a problem. I am curious as to what went wrong?

Maybe 50’. 100’ is big bust. I’ll tell you a story about a former Navy helicopter pilot. I kept my Cirrus at Lakefront Airport. One day I took a buddy - that former Navy pilot - for a VFR flight in the practice area over NOLA East.

He had not flown anything in about 8 years. He had not flown a fixed wing in about 20 years. He asked for the controls and executed two steep turns at 360 degrees without 10’ of deviation! This was in a plane he had never touched before and after 8 years without touching a stick and rudder!

Then he took the plane back to the airport and asked if he could land it. I nervously agreed, and he landed it with no input from me except I had to tell him not to flare so much.

Military pilots are well trained. Busting a 200’ ceiling by over 100’ is odd for a military pilots. If it was some schmuck like me, then sure.

Wasn’t there earlier diversions of flights because of helicopters in flight paths that very day, at that same airport? Just seems weird that there was no intervention to stop this….
