Nope.. they all ask you to identify yourself in these areas:
Race
Veteran status
Disability status
You can choose to not identify you race, veteran status and Disability status. They do this because there are Federal inducements to hire minorities, veterans and the disabled.

i was the techie interviewer at a major company. we were adding a programmer analyst.
I recommended a white guy.
great interview.
great education for the position, and good enough experience.
my boss, my dept mgr said no.
he said because the applicant was so handsome and fit and well spoken the mgr would feel depressed just to see him around every day.
mgr was very smart and good at his job but short and kind of ugly.
i was the techie interviewer at a major company. we were adding a programmer analyst.
I recommended a white guy.

If she talking about all small businesses then it could be true . If she is claiming large businesses then she is lying . Large corporations will hire a minority over a white person any chance they can .

I dont blame those companies at all. If I saw a job application with the that Listerine Jabungwalea Washington, I'm likely to pass over it too.
