Black Democrats Melt Down Over Debbie Wasserman Schultz Crashing Their Race-Based Turf [WATCH]
Somewhere in Tallahassee, Ron DeSantis is probably grinning ear to ear as Florida Democrats descend into yet another round of intraparty warfare.
The fireworks are happening in the Sunshine State’s 20th Congressional District, and it is all thanks to none other than Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former Democrat National Committee chair who managed to make nearly everyone angry, including her own party’s activists.
Florida Republicans drew a new congressional map earlier this year under DeSantis’s leadership, leaving most Democrats fuming while conservatives celebrated a fairer representation of the state’s red shift.
The GOP already controls twenty of the twenty eight congressional seats, but the updated map could hand them several more.
Wasserman Schultz’s district, the 25th, just became far more competitive for Republicans, forcing her to face a simple choice: fight for her seat in a now Republican leaning district or parachute into a supposedly safer one.
She chose the latter, and that decision has set off a political war within her own ranks.

Funny that Cohen had the good grace to bow out in Tennessee.

He had nowhere to go because Tennessee eliminated the only blue district that have.
Pulling out of reelection gives him a leg up on consulting gigs since he will clearly be available.

Democrats show how racist they are everyday. If she really believed in equal representation, she'd let a minority represent the district.

I think it is racist to believe or insist that a majority black district must have a black representative. I think it is racist to believe or insist that a majority white district must have a white representative. I think it is racist to believe or insist that a majority hispanic district must have a hispanic representative. To believe that ONLY a black, white, or hispanic is the best option for your district is inherently racist and short sighted. Vote on the issues and the policies of the nominee, not their race. This would remove a lot of the idiots and bigots we now have in Congress. Yeah, I know. This is just a pipe dream.

Wait... so you are a liberal? If so, I didn't think this was possible to think logically, this way.
But if you're a conservative, well, I didn't think it was possible NOT to...

This is funny.
At least in Louisiana it would be two black dudes if Fields decided to challenge Carter.

Very telling how she is insistent on staying in Congress. Most other people retire, or move on, but not her.

I've been waiting for this.
In one corner is Debbie. Debbie is deeply entrenched into the Democrat machine (having been a former DNC Chair) and been in the House for just over 20 years now (after holding political office in Florida since 1993), there's no way in hell she's bowing out.
In the other corner is the black population of the district and the black Democrats in the state who have taken the preferential treatment of having a district made for them to purposely elect someone black as being "equality". They see any attempt at having to compete on an even political field as being inherently unfair and they are hellbent on demanding they keep what they feel they deserve because... black.
This intra-Democrat fighting is going to be one for the ages.

It's simple. Democrats' ultimate goal is to gain and retain all power and control. Whatever it takes. By any means necessary. That's why she's running again. Plus...the Congressional grift and benefits are an added bonus.
