Keeping her away from her siblings so they dont get the gay doesn't seem very loving. Nor does reprimanding her for putting a pic of someone holding a sign that says "im gay and my dad still loves me".
If you read my other posts in this thread - especially early on - I've got issues with rick's behavior here too. Ostracizing her from the family being one of them - unless she was coming into the home acting like an arse. If she was I totally get not letting her around the siblings but that is something I just don't know about.

Simply not possible, it's far too ingrained into our culture. Every Christmas and Easter shows spanning 60 years and every genre are played over and over again on dozens of channels about the birth and death of Jesus. Every musical artist worth their salt in the last 100 years has a Christmas album full of songs about the birth of Jesus. Nativity scenes and church billboards are ubiquitous. The Bible is STILL the best selling book every single year in America. School children are taught from an early age the meaning of Holidays like Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, etc.
And on and on and on
I swear to you, I think this guy truly believes it though.
It's a little scary to think about.

His daughter is terrible for what she did to her family. There was no reason to go public over personal disagreements on her sex life.
All the article showed to me was how rotten of a person his daughter is. She says she's all about "love is love" but that is not true. She is filled with hate towards her family.

Why don't you get Rick's side of the story, before you assume?

Yet another example of people just glossing over her assertion that her father went public first.
You people want to hate and so you hate.

Catholics, High Protestants and the Orthodox Church (aka the vast majority of Christians alive) feel quite differently
No they don't. What you are referring to is a difference in how to live after accepting Jesus as your Savior. We do not differ on how to gain salvation.

The kid drowned in the middle of February in an uncovered pool, because nobody was watching him and there was no child proofing on the doors. He was 2.
Yeah, that's insane that people think that God would put someone on this planet to drown in a pool when he's 2. That is pretty despicable.

You want to believe her so you ignore any evidence to the contrary.
You expect everyone else to prove a negative to you. There's no evidence that he mentioned her sexuality in public prior to this article, so that must mean we should believe her.

How is what they feel different?

Her father failed her by being a radio hack.

What makes you think school children are taught about Easter? Good Friday is no longer considered a holiday from school, and is thus not on their radar. Who would tell them about it? Their parents?
I was in public elementary school in the late 90s and we had entire lessons on all the major holidays. I have friends who have children in the Kindergarten/1st grade range now and they came home on Christmas break with worksheets and shite about the story of Christmas. The same happens at Easter.
Just because this board bitches about religion being completely taken out of school doesn't mean its true. Yeah, we don't read from the Bible every morning anymore but kids are still taught this stuff. Not in a "this is fact" way but in a "this is why people celebrate this" way. The majority of HS football games I attend still have some sort of prayer before the game.

I can agree with this
What a low down dick bag move.
GFY you piece of trash

This is kind of a bitch move from the daughter, but the whole thing is pretty poetic. This anti-liberty holy roller has been injecting himself into local politics for years. Part of the reason we can't even pass something as simple as a damn lottery in this state is because people like this,

a jackass divorcee without enough common sense to childproof a swimming pool (and who apparently can't even shepherd his own family), have convinced everyone that allowing individuals any type of agency over their lives is THE DEVIL

I don't have to believe it. I have spoken to people who have never been told that Jesus died on the cross for their sins. They may know He lived. They may even know He died. They have no idea why or what else happened. They have not been told. In many ways, the prevalence of the story throughout our culture has hindered the spread of the gospel because people like you believe everyone knows it and they decide they don't need to tell others about it.

Anyone with kids in public school would be keenly aware of how much effort is directed at eliminating so much as any reference to Christianity. And how much directed to waxing poetic about Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Ramadan, etc in the name of world history and social studies.
School is WAY different than it was just 20 years ago.

Do they attend a Christian school? Because this is not legal.
ETA: I imagine the stories you're talking about mentioned nothing of Jesus dying for people's sins. If they don't mention the why, then they aren't telling anyone about Jesus.

You have your head in the sand. Basically everything you say happens is absolutely illegal in public schools these days.

Wrrrrrrrrooooonnnnngggg frickface. But keep beating off that straw man.
My assertion has been that posters, like Mr. Chazzy have been coming in here making assertions that SHE went public first. I simply quoted HER assertion from that article. I even said that it might not be true. I also said that at least its SOMETHING other than a completely unsupported assertion. shite, Mr McChazzy made it obvious he just skipped that part.
You are terrible at this.

You tell me I'm wrong, then proceed to say exactly what I said, but with more words.
