Billie pulling up the ladder behind her.

Billie Eilish is expressing her frustrations about the need for some artists to produce multiple vinyl albums in various variants.
In a new interview with Billboard, the multi-Grammy winner shared how she’s always been eco-conscious and makes it her mission to keep sustainability at the forefront of her career. Eilish touched on her work on making vinyl more sustainable when she said she thinks it’s “wasteful” for “some of the biggest artists” to make multiple copies of their albums in several vinyl options.
“We live in this day and age where, for some reason, it’s very important to some artists to make all sorts of different vinyl and packaging,” the singer said. “Which ups the sales and ups the numbers and gets them more money and gets them more…”
It should be noted that Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” came in eight vinyl variants.

If people are buying it how is it wasteful?
Find it hard to believe many people are being 5 different copies of the same album. Some sure, but generally I’d imagine those buying one variant would simply buy the other variant if only one was available, resulting in an overall similar amount of vinyl used.
Doubt people are producing too much extra that ends up in a landfill.

various variants.
I think "multiple variants" would have been a better grammatic choice.

She undoubtedly wants to “just stop oil”. You see, she cares about the planet (after she exploited it to make her own money).

Nah. While vinyl appeals to a small base of audiophiles, the majority buy vinyl as physcial media collectibles (I doubt there are too many people buying Billie Eilish albums for their sound quality.) Fans tend to buy up all the different variations for their collection/artist devotionals.

I still don't understand why she's famous.

She’s being wasteful with those big arse milk bags she keeps hidden under large tshirts.

Damn I didn’t even know. Went over to the googles and searched her and I’ll be damned if she ain’t stacked af. Those babies would keep me busy for a while. I’d like to be the foremost expert on her cans. And I do mean all of this as the highest of compliments.

I read through this whole thing hoping this would be the end, I'm glad it didn't disappoint. We really need to spend more time laughing at these idiots

Them are nattys too. I’ll happily reach across the aisle carrying an olive branch with my teeth, so my hands are free.

As a vinyl collector, I will sometimes buy a different colored vinyl, mostly as a collector piece or in place of an original, as sometimes rare psych 60's albums are megabucks! But for modern artists, 6 different colored vinyl copies is overkill. Reminds me of baseball cards when they started making several insert cards, then autographed or game used uniform cards, finally, limited rookie cards which simply saturated the market and finally, turned it into an investor hobby. I have never heard anything from Billie Eilish, but looks like the only thing marketable about her is her chest!
