Neocons are liberals and Trump has sided with the liberals. If you doubt this then you need to read some history and understand they left the democrat party in the late 1960s and joined the Republican party.
They are the republican side of the uniparty/swamp/establishment, and they are fine with the democrats winning the next election. It's by design that they pass it back and forth. Obama was a neocon, look at his policies. The Clintons were neocons. Look at their actions, not their rhetoric.
The democrats will win the next election(and continue the same stuff of course), and the GOP will be in shambles for the next 12 years minimum.

I don't think anyone knows what "MAGA" is at this point, but in terms of Reps vs. Dems - the disagreement over this strike, and even the weak work on the budget and the deportation front, none of it will magically make the Left less retarded or less bent on burning the country down. Republicans, as weak as they're proving to be, are still lightyears better than Democrats.

It was a coalition of people and that coalition has been fractured.
Neocons are not republicans, they are liberals who pretend to be republican. And when they rule over the GOP, there are no options available for true conservatives. Some will vote libertarian/3rd party, some will pinch their nose and vote republican anyway, and some won't vote at all. But the elections will generally be lost until true conservative values are allowed - which again the neocons will try to suppress.
The best way to make Democrats look right is to be wrong. The media will change it's narratives just like always.
