You guys are taking this phrase
and twisting it into evil intent for no fair reason.
The fact is this does not mean he had anything to do with it nor that he wished anything good or bad. I am a Jets fan. The Jets suck. Now - and I admit this is a crazy thing but it's just to have an example - just imagine for one game the coaches said "let's trick the other team and run the Veer offense. This is announced by the TV people as we kick off, they had been sworn to secrecy. And we get crushed.
As a fan/viewer why could I not say "Running the veer ended up not like I expected"?
Some of you just want to see evil everywhere.
