Huge news!

Mark Smith, for those that don't know, is the #1 2A guy out there, and a great all-around Constitutional attorney, (you see him on Fox News often), and he's a Gamecock and massive SEC fan.

The law banning using the USPS to ship handguns is unconstitutional.

You currently have to go through an FFL to ship firearms. This memo issued by the federal government says that is against the second amendment and cites a number of scenarios that support this. They say those previous rules are unenforceable, so the USPS should allow people and manufacturers to ship guns through USPS now.

Basically abolishes the need for FFL and permits shipping through regular mail.

There are some other intricacies in the federal memo that support second amendment rights, such as being able to have a gun for personal and community defense, but those are too deep for Cliffs.

I suppose the burden of background checks will be placed on the seller. Probably upload your license?

also unconstitutional

you want to do one before selling to someone, knock yourself out but making it a requirement is unconstitutional

I was speaking to manufacturers shipping not "face to face".

The Post Office is now going to be forced to allow firearms to be mailed through the USPS.

But that's not what's really at issue here.

Legal interstate transportation of lawfully owned firearms by American Citizens is what's at stake.

So states that currently ban tourists or travelers from carrying in their states will be forced to allow them to do so, unhindered and without fear of repercussions if, for whatever reason one is stopped on a trip, from say SC to Maine and you have to travel through all the Northeastern anti-2A states.

It's a huge deal. It's being supported by the Bondi DOJ and it'll likely end up in front of the SCOTUS ... and, it will inevitably lead to national carry laws that will overrule all the blue state bullshite that leaves a licensed gunowner defenseless when in a blue state.

Not only that, but because it also makes legal mailing guns within your state, ... it gives gunowners in blue states the right to carry, own, and protect themselves.

This is very pertinent given the 67 year old man who was sentenced to four years in prison today (a veteran with no criminal history) in NYC, for simply defending himself against a deranged lunatic with 15 prior arrests for violent crimes.

It's got far sweeping ramifications in support of our 2nd Amendment Rights ... our God Given Right to self protection of our loved ones and ourselves.

If I may ask, how do you support our Right to Keep and Bear Arms?

Do you contribute monthly to the GOA, the FPC, or even the NRA or that shithook over at the NAGR? How about yearly? Have you ever contributed?

Do you actively support the cause, the industry, by going to events, writing letters to your senators and congressmen, or buying from vendors who have a Round-Up (to the nearest dollar) campaign that helps with the legal battles?

Do you vote for A+ rated 2A politicians?

Do you stay current and knowledgeable about the entire fight against the Marxo-Commie socialist progressive libtards who are constantly trying to take our Rights away ....

.... or is all you care about is being able to buy an over the counter can?

Just asking, given the wording and tone of your contribution to this thread.

You seem like the type that likes the spoils ... but not interested in the fights and battles, or the war, it takes to maintain and regain our 2A Rights.

That's different. That falls under the NFA. I think they did remove the tax but that was about the least onerous part of getting a suppressor. I think I answered the same set of 20 questions about 5 times in order to just get one for a .22 to shoot racoons at night bothering my feeders. It took weeks. To put it in a trust so others could use it would take over a year. It's ridiculous.

Ha ... you waited four months to respond to my post?

Well then, I'm sure you already know about all the advancements to The Cause since January.

I'll not waste your time, or mine, bringing you up to date in depth. GOA brought us up to date at our recent GOALS Society Board Dinner in Columbia.

You may now, (as I'm sure you already know), have a suppressor delivered to your home. And wait times for in store purchases, in most cases, have been cut to 72 hours or less.

Very soon we should be able to have firearms delivered directly to our homes. The Bill was just sent to the Senate last week.)

We're expecting big news at the GOALS Convention in Des Moines, Iowa next month, which my wife and I will be attending again this year ... as we did in Knoxille the past two years.

More gun owners need to get actively involved, especially given what is inevitably coming with the muslims and Marxo-Commies.

I highly recommend joining the GOA and FPC. Those two are the fighters. Then the NRA. Never the NAGR ... it's run by a twatwaffle.

Regards
