Interior is confirmed. She'll hold a pow wow to curse all those who dare drill anywhere in the US!
Interior has no authority over drilling in most of the US (land).

Also how does the president have the authority to even do something like this? We have given the president way too much power
The President can regulate activities on public lands.

What does this mean for deepwater operators drilling in Mississippi and Green Canyon?
Sometimes drilling permits are not approved by BSEE until hours before spudding a new well.
Spudding cannot begin until this permit is approved.
Are these the types of drilling permits mentioned?
Thanks

It wasn’t set up that way in the beginning. We have too many amendments to the constitution. Originally, it was the responsibility of the legislature to make law. 20th and 21st century legislatures don’t have the guts and leave it to the other branches.

Great for Biden no drilling on public land outstanding. Now let’s work on air quality and clean water .

It seems to be NEW permits. But time will tell. So far it is a 60 day ban. It looks like, I’m not a lawyer, that the existing stuff can continue. It is confusing language

Fossil fuels is a dying industry. It’s time to innovate. Louisiana has a chance to get ahead of the curve with the hydro , solar power and offshore wind resources we have. If we were smart we would demand our oil and gas industries shift it’s resources, funds, and labor to renewable resources like the rest of the country and world is starting to do. I hope I’m wrong. But I’m sure bone head conservatives will drag their feet and slow us down just enough so this imminent transition will be delayed 30-50 years from now so we will remain behind the economic curve where it would be lucrative to be on the fore front of the transition to renewable resources.

The fact that the manufacturer of one of the first commercial electric cars is now the richest man in the world.

According to US labor department statics wind turbine service techs is #1 and solar panel installers is #3 highest projected job grow rate of all job industries from 2019-2019

I'm on board with this. Don't want to see or hear drilling when I'm climbing on federal land and trying to enjoy some peace and solitude. Go drill elsewhere. Biden delivering the goods
