There is some precedent for this. The Fed gov threatened states to withhold road finding if they didn't pass seatbelt and alcohol laws they wanted to see passed.

This is much more partisan than that, but it's not some new thing.

That's understandable. I want all major military bases closed up in blue states once the Republicans have control of the presidency again.

Or moving the MLB all-star game out of Atlanta because of the racist voting laws in GA.

Or threatening to withhold federal funding from universities and medical institutions that didn't comply with vaccine mandates.

Not always a good thing

Not federal issues.

Just like how Washington was wrong about the Whiskey Rebellion

Too bad Joe, Sr. and Cat Finnegan didn't believe more strongly in abortion.

Counter argument could be made. ($1 to Rick&Bubba)

Colorado legalized pot. Does Space Force want to risk workers showing up high?

I would think Colorado Springs is better regardless of politics… Air Force academy is there and NORAD already established inside a mountain outside of Colorado Springs…. And more importantly LSU geology field camp is there….so we can morph it into a space camp degree … ( you can map an outcrop on LSU property and stop when you come up to the barbed wire with no trespassing ….NORAD)
