Biden opposed and filibustered a black female judicial nominee in 2003 AND 2005Posted by L.A.

President Joe Biden on Thursday reiterated his campaign promise of nominating a Black woman to the Supreme Court, leading some conservative pundits to bring up his past opposition to Janice Rogers Brown.
As Laura Ingraham noted on the Wednesday edition of her Fox News show, then-Senator Biden opposed and then filibustered the nomination of Brown to the federal bench in 2003 and 2005
Then-President George W. Bush had nominated Brown both times for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, but many Democrats tried to block her from the position for her perceived libertarian views.

Doesn’t this go against the narrative that he’s picking someone based solely on “black woman?”

How is it a narrative when he said that is what he is going to do?

No, but you know that. You’re just a disingenuous piece of shite.

Umm, he said that’s why he’d be picking her, Homer.

Some senator needs to bring this up on the floor of the Senate.

You mean the narrative that he has repeated multiple times with his own mouth?
Look how fricking stupid you have to force yourself to be to justify the abomination you voted for.

Better still, the Democratic Senator who stood on the Senate floor on June 8, 2005 to oppose her nomination...
Barack Obama of Illinois.
Barack Obama of Illinois.

Since she didn’t vote for Biden, she obviously isn’t black.
Your deflection is moot.

Of course not. That's not even a narrative, it's just what he's doing, according to himself.
It does confirm beyond any doubt that his plan to nominate based on race and gender is something he's doing only because he believes it's politically expedient to him, not because he cares about lifting up minority women or selecting the best candidate.

Actually Mickey is pretty consistent in his retarded takes. It's not a sometimes thing.

Narrows it. That’s my point. Obviously his choice isn’t based SOLEY on the person being a black woman. It has to be a black woman who has certain beliefs/qualifications that he agrees with.

This. He’s looking for a black woman who will vote the “right” (or should that be left)? Way.
