The Biden administration has been accused of trying to cover up the extent of the migrant crisis after the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) issued a flight ban over the US-Mexico border to stop drones capturing footage of the more than 10,000 people living camped out under a bridge.

The FAA implemented a two-week flight ban over the Del Rio Port of Entry and the International Bridge in the city of Del Rio, Texas, Thursday night, claiming the move was for 'special security reasons' to prevent 'drones interfering with law enforcement flights on the border.'

The ban effectively grounded a Fox News drone hours after the network released shocking footage showing thousands of migrants living in squalor under the bridge as they crossed the US's southern border and waited to be processed by Border Patrol.

The president canceled deportation flights of migrants to Haiti on September 8 and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) extended temporary protected status (TPS) to Haitian nationals while the country is rocked by its biggest crises since the 2010 earthquake.

Force them to shoot it the frick down, and film that as well. This is LITERALLY why the First Amendment protection of the press exists for frick's sake.

I think this one is a bit of a stretch. If there aren't any law enforcement flights in that area right now then I would be on board with this theory. However, since there most likely are, I'm inclined to believe that this is for legitimate safety reasons. It has long been against FAA regulations to fly drones within 5 miles of an airport or above 400 feet.

If I'm Greg Abbott (Texas Gov.) I'm chartering buses by the hundreds, loading these migrants up, and driving them straight to DC and dropping them off.

Really? because there weren't any restrictions until Fox started blasting drone footage of this disaster then it became a "security" issue.

So are they in Texas or just under a bridge in Mexico?

Open invitation for people like me to go there, fly their drone and capture it, then sell to the news networks.

The one sure way to get the border shut down tighter than a crab's arse is to start sneaking in white South Africans who are being murdered in their own country. A few thousand of these, plus some from some of the former Soviet satellites and republics, should do the trick.

Having drones show up on radar affects the FAA's ability to safely regulate the air space...an air space that is likely become more crowded as border patrol steps up the number of aircraft in that area...but you go with FOX's theory. It's not like they've ever misrepresented facts to boost their ratings, right?

Give me a break. It’s not like the government has never misrepresented facts to cover their own arse.

Give me a break. It's not like the FAA has never restricted fly zones for safety reasons. Oh wait...they do it all the time.
