NATIONAL SECURITY
The Biden administration is set to give Chevron Corp. a license to pump oil in Venezuela, according to The Wall Street Journal.
As part of the deal, Chevron would retain partial control of both production and maintenance for a select set of run-down oil fields it previously had stakes in with Petróleos de Venezuela SA, a state-run oil company in Venezuela, according to the WSJ, citing people familiar with the matter. The deal, which is contingent on certain debts being repaid, would also mean President Joe Biden is continuing to move away from sanctioning the socialist regime. “We join the international community in welcoming the resumption of negotiations between the Unitary Platform and the Maduro regime,” a National Security Council (NSC) spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
The Biden administration has offered to ease sanctions on the Socialist regime after the administration of former President Donald Trump used a “maximum pressure” approach to stop the Venezuelan government from enriching its leaders with resources, rather than its own citizens.

Hunter putting in work. Guess he had to find a new venture to keep him busy with the Ukraine printing presses already running so efficiently.

Let me get this straight: It's OK to buy oil from Venezuela, delivered by tanker?
But it's not OK to buy oil from Canada...because it's delivered by a pipeline?
Because Venezuela oil is better for the environment than Canadian oil?

Several oil companies have learned their lesson in Venezuela, I guess Chevron hasn't yet.
Exxon pulled out of that country after they invested billions into a refinery and one day the Venezuelan Government said, "Now this is ours." and took control from Exxon.
Good luck Chevron.
I cannot figure out how this is better than investing in oil and gas production in our country.

Where did I say that? Link?
We are talking about new supply of oil. And how President Biden canceled a Canadian oil pipeline. The Keystone pipeline. But he is now authorizing the import of oil from Venezuela instead.
I can break it down for you jn greater detail if you need it. Like: Foreign Policy for 8 Year Olds?

What did you mean by this:

I’m sure Swill can explain this illegitimate regime’s logic and reasoning in this matter.

Cheaper gas for Americans. God Bless President Biden and my Chevron stock.

Isn't Chevron one of those oil companies who's board has been taken over by wokesters that want to destroy the company?
Using Chevron to rebuild the commies' O&G infrastructure then hand it back to them.. then buy oil from them.
" enriching its leaders with resources, rather than its own citizens."
Sounds familiar...
