This is why governments need to be just.
I don't support vigilante justice, but this sort of response shouldn't be surprising when you punish the victims and praise the criminals.

It seems to me they have things pretty well at hand. I don't think the guys on the ground want this to be covered either. I can understand why. The Government over there is full on Orwellian. I think the less coverage, the better for the home team. More cameras = facial recognition software and all kinds of other shite they would use to arrest these people.
I hope they're able to affect change over there before things get worse. Because they can indeed get worse over there.

As for Orwellian, I once saw it stated that the UK is the most surveilled country on earth. I think at least part of that grew out of IRA terrorism, but once the apparatus is erected, it can be put to any use His Majesty’s government wishes. And there’s virtually no brake upon the power of the House of Commons.
