It's really more audio than video because they turned the camera around, but good Lord what a blast. Warning: don't have your speakers turned up too loud

The bride reminds me so much of my now deceased Lebanese bride. Unfortunately, the bomb blast is very familiar too. Beirut is a beautiful city, and Lebanon is a beautiful country. So very very sad. Damn, this hurts me to my very core.
Back in the 40s Lebanon was about 80 percent, Christian. Now, I'd be willing to bet is getting close to 80 percent muzzie. Let this be a lesson about so-called "multiculturalism" and unfettered immigration.

FWIW, I knew a retired Marine master sargeant back in the 80's. He was in his late 60's then and he and his wife had lived all over the world when he was in the service. They both said that Lebanon was their favorite place they ever lived in. The lived in Tripoli btw

When I was growing up we had a Lebanese family that lived up the street, they ran a furniture store and had 10 children.....great family. All the kids were lookers and pretty good in school......kinda jealous...lol

That doesn't seem to be true. The last official census, in the 1930s, showed a near even split between Christians and Muslims. No new census has been done since for fear of causing tension, but estimates put the ratio now at 55% Muslim and 40% Christian, with something like 60% of the Lebanese diaspora (over 14 million) being Christian.

Most of these groups have lived in the area since antiquity. There has not been widespread migration, and the area is de facto multicultural, mainly due to the landscape, and the tradition of Ottoman administration. Lebanon does have an insane amount of refugees from wars in the area, like other countries in the region, but most of them are either perpetually displaced and without papers, or eventually made citizens, though only a fraction reach that point.

The shite-stirring in Lebanon apparently started in the wake of Jordan kicking out the PLO in 1970-1971, as they migrated to Lebanon.
