I think you know that I do generally support American hegemony (since you're probably another SFP alter), so I think you're outkicking your coverage in characterizing what I've said on this thread.
And two days ago your meager attention span failed you more than you think, because I also clearly said that the goal is to keep government as small as possible while also understanding that there are exceptions that are necessary.
The example used there was infrastructure, but this is another one.
Finally, I notice that you have not answered any of the questions I have asked. What obligations do we owe France? What other country would do a better job as the strongest ape in the jungle?

I think he painted them. But it looked like this when he did it.
There's video out there of him doing it, but always finishing them up instead of in the process of actually doing the underlying art work. Like, putting the finishing touches on a cheetah that just so happens to have a perfect and crisp outline that looks like it was printed off of a computer generated image.

Agree with this statement- but control of oil has never about what is best for average Americans. It favors the global elites. Regulation of oil always seems to raise the price domestically where we don't need Arab oil. Consumers will ultimately pay more for all imports and the military presence necessary to maintain this control will lead to American servicemen being killed.
Long term this is a horrible strategy. Countries are divesting from oil. Even Saudi who swims in oil knows that the energy of the future is nuclear power.

I don’t condone it on either side of the aisle.
Both sides do it and some worse than others. I actually expect it from a lot of politicians on both sides. I don’t condone it whatsoever.
Who has the courage to set the example? Not Trump.
I have a problem with Trump doing it especially since he was supposed to drain the swamp and he pointed out the Biden financial indiscretions yet he’s doing it himself.
I would like to think that I vote for the high ground on these issues. What I’m seeing from Trump and his apologists, is not just more of the same- it’s a much more aggressive form.
The Trump I see today is not what I voted for.
It also sets a bar so low that I cringe at the thought of what a democrat will do in the wake of what trump has done.

They may not be bought with a suitcase of cash, but they can still be bought with tax cuts, contracts, deregulation, access, power, and flattery.
