So in other words, this well be a “kinder and gentler” narcoterrorist regime?

The sad thing is, I’m not sure if this is a troll or an actual argument being made on this forum.

I remember when some network reporter tried to get an Egyptian celebrant to thank Obama for one of the presidential ousters that happened when Barry was in office. The guy wasn’t having any of it, flatly stated it was Egyptians doing this for their own people.

“Reporter” just wanted to get a brown skin person to thank Obama

Nope!!

Even better. Could you imagine the media this weekend had Biden been able to pull this off? Remember friends, charges were laid out under Biden’s watch by SDNY and the bounty was offered out by him as well.

There's been a crisis in Venezuela since they elected Hugo Chavez.

ten years (or much more?) of crippling sanctions on Venezuela by the EU, including Britain, and Canada and Mexico and the USA.

Oh, and Switzerland (everybody chew on that one)

So the BBC is revising history, knowing their own cameras recorded empty grocery stores in Veny, from EU's sanctions going back several years, and acting like it's something new.

Probably cut a deal.

She was also charged by SDNY in 2020.

The overwhelming majority of Venezuelans are hiding in fear, afraid for their lives, and wondering what comes next.

They must have taken note of how we "liberated" the Middle East.

Which if true she will do what the frick she is told to do.

Add in the military leader not erased while the military was hit suggests he is part of the team that said frick it this guy isn't worth it anymore.

Yes. Maduro, her, and a dozen or so others charged in NY, DC, and Miami

ETA. If she is who we think she is, she’d be an incredibly valuable source for US intelligence, but it’s unclear whether she was ever charged in the US.

I can't find any indictments against Rodríguez...including the one you linked.

####
Unlike many figures within Maduro’s inner circle, Rodríguez and her brother Jorge Rodríguez, who heads the Maduro-controlled National Assembly, have not been criminally indicted in the United States, notes CNBC. Delcy Rodríguez has cultivated relationships with Republicans in the oil industry and on Wall Street who have opposed the idea of US-led regime change in Venezuela.

Venezuela’s vice president for the economy

Is Delcy Rodriguez based on everything I’ve read. I guess I could be wrong but this article is the proverbial horses mouth.

ETA: I stand corrected:
quote:

A separate superseding indictment unsealed today in the Southern District of New York charges Tareck Zaidan El Aissami Maddah, 45, Venezuela’s vice president for the economy

She must have assumed this office after the 2024 election.

Ok, but you do realize that different news outlets show different things depending on what you want to believe. It’s probably true that some people are celebrating, it’s also probably true that some people are terrified. Collapse of the state creates some uncertainty and fear, especially when Venezuelans consider the lack of success the U.S. has had in the last 60 years of trying to impose friendly governments in various countries across the globe.

I suspect your incorrect. Why would folks hate the nation that just liberated them from a cruel dictator?

Trump and Rubio have put those remaining in charge of the government on notice. I expect Maduros guys in charge of different government agencies and the military will be replaced given time. Trumps team has a well thought out plan that we don't know. The first step was taking out Maduro.

BBC and Fox News and it is two alternate universes.

You all know there is likely not a more biased news source than the BBC. They likely hate half of America and certainly have TDS. Imagine living in a country with a large state owned news source like the BBC or CBC. Propaganda machines.

Not much surprises me when it comes to hypocrisy in UniParty® politics.

Yet I will admit that Trump morphing into John McCain was never on my bingo card.
