re: Based on this Trump tweet, maybe time for Wray to consider alternate career paths?

The issue is senate confirmation.
McConnell is not on Trump's side. If McConnell went in recess for just a second Trump could make recess appointments of anyone he wants.
The problem is McConnell will not go into recess because he needs to protect the GOPe in the senate who is knee deep in Ukrainian and other foreign aid corruption. The GOPe is afraid of having an FBI director, a DOJ attorney general, a CIA director, a ODNI director, etc. etc. that will do the right thing for America.
Trump wants to appoint good people. McConnell is stopping him. McConnell wants and needs swamp protectors.

He may be grooming Pam Bondi for the job.
This is what I think he’s doing. Have we ever had a chick FBI Director? Much less an attractive one.
You’re a FL person. I’ve only ever really seen her interviewed on TV, and I think she’s interesting. She totally seems like someone I would hang out with, but I’m not sure whether her home state folks like her or not?

Wray should have been fired over a year ago. I've been saying that for a LONG time
Instead of cleaning out his organization and holding law breakers accountable, he is PROTECTING the law breakers, making excuses, and denying any wrongdoing at all
He is a disgrace to the country. Trust Wray my arse

Global Progressives virtually control the Federal Bureaucracy; it's what we call the 'Deep State'. Their power is real, and backed by the MSM's control of near 50% of the gullible (and Ideologically sympathetic) populous, and potent.
Hell, the very fact that today, we witness an Impeachment of our POTUS on fraudulent (Subjective judgment) evidence, bears this out.
Vox is right...it is Confirmation that counts. And the Courts; which Trump is gradually reshaping. And the slow removal of corrupt Deep State leftovers. Minus this transformation, no kind of evidence will prevail. Think Hillary Clinton's overt destruction of Subpoenaed evidence and Biden's arrogant and Internationally-broadcast blackmail of Ukraine's efforts to get people like Hunter Biden out of their pockets.
Trench warfare. We are gradually winning. By this time next year - just like a year ago - we'll be further down the road to reform.
It is frustrating. But it beats open rebellion and violent revolt. Of the which many Nations now endure; thanks to Soros et al.

quote:Nope they have literal imbeciles to trick into becoming radical terrorists for headline grabbing arrests.
It’s not as if ALL the FBI does is spy on political campaigns.
They've got reports of unstable heavily armed persons to file away ignore so that mass shootings take place.
They have the largest mass shooting in US History to sweep under the rug!
They've got money to collect, sort, skim. They've got marital affairs to tend to 24/7, 302's to alter or make up out of thin air, evidence to tamper with or completely hide.

Trump needs to appoint someone outside the FBI for sure. Maybe Sheriff Clarke? He seems to not care who he pisses off and stands up for his convictions. If he was a swamper, he wouldn't be on CNN telling them what they don't want to hear, I wouldn't think.
Pam Bondi may be a good pick, but a quick read of her wiki doesn't impress me. I'd prefer an actual law enforcement official over a lawyer/politician. An actual law enforcement officer hasn't been FBI director since 1978. Everyone since then has been a lawyer.

She seems to be to be very approachable and genuine.
My wife and daughter met her at a rally in Daytona and they hung around together for a couple of hours. My wife was very impressed with her.
She's an agriculture girl and opposed Ron DeSantis, as governor for Adam Putnam, current Florida Commissioner of Agriculture.

I look at it as part of a greater plan of exposure. The IG report speaks for itself as does wrays response to the damning report. People put in place to expose the swamp for what it is. By showing through direct action on their part to the public what we all already know it works to cast light and thus doubts on wray's effectiveness. Without the IG report, trump would not be able to appoint his guy because congress would deny confirming him or her. Now public perception has changed as well as the growing desire to save this country from Gestapo style tactics a la the FBI.

I have a better idea:
Abolish the FBI (and the CIA, DHS, DEA, etc.)
