Based on this Trump tweet, maybe time for Wray to consider alternate career paths?

"current director"

POTUS doesn't mince words/F%ck around. Wray will be gone soon. I had been thinking Trump would do it to start his second term. Wray is swamp and is buddies with Sally Yates from their time at same law firm in Atlanta (King and Spalding).

Well Trump appointed him so that doesn't say much for Trump and I'm as MAGA as they come.

How is it Trump didnt know he was part of the swamp? He sure seems naive about these people. He has to be more like Obama and put in partisan lapdogs like Holder and Lynch.

This is such BS when people use this logic. You NEVER know what you gonna get when hiring someone or in Politics putting someone in a position. FIRE THEM ALL if need be!!!

True. But what were his other options?

To some extent I agree with you though. At this pt he needs to go outside of the Federal Gvt entirely.

A State AG or Governor would be a good choice.

In politics, as you say, if you don't know what you are getting when you hire someone then that's on you. Sure ain't no one else's fault.

Remember, it's not who you nominate, it's who can get confirmed. That's half that battle in that miserable town.

He may be grooming Pam Bondi for the job. She was AG for the state of Florida. He brought her into the fold, in what capacity I'm not sure.

EX AXT TACTLY~~!!!

Nobody within a hundred miles of this swamp should even be considered for a federal position. Get some fresh, qualified, "good for the USA" mentality in there.

I still think we need to de-centralize the governmental agencies. With the days of tele-conferencing, there is no need for every federal agency to be ha'ed within walking distance of the capitol bldg.

Put the agencies where they have to live with the common folk and not be susceptible to the lures of the "cocktail circuit." Let them use their own $$$ to go to their friends and donors 'cocktail parties."

otherwise, get used to living in McCamy or Ville Platte to do your job.

I am glad that Trump publicly chided Wray.

It is completely unacceptable to me that Wray is not up in arms and raising hell and firing people.

I haven’t seen where he and Trump work particularly closely together.

I would reiterate tho, that Trump needs to clean house. Fire Wray and his whole floor in the FBI building.

And hire from the private sector somewhere in Texas or an AG or Gov from a state that is nowhere in the northeast.

And Bandit - I totally agree with this sentiment:

Trump should run a Drain the Swamp Tour. Make a list of every Federal Gvt Agency. And put each of them in a DIFFERENT state that makes sense.

Those DC bureaucrats can either move with the agency or not. But the agency itself should move.

And that's all I asked when he appointed Wray to start with and now it has come back to haunt him. It was not a smart move on Trump's part if he was trying to drain the swamp. At that level of government, FBI Director, Trump should have known every little thing about Wray that he could have found out including going all the way back to finding out which tit Wray preferred to suck when he was just a baby.

Oh... add that to the articles of impeachment they are drafting.

Article 3: Throwing shade at the FBI director, undermining confidence in the fine institution. This is tantamount to obstruction of the FBI.

Wray, like Horowitz, is another corrupt Deep State Mafia leader.
Trump never should have put and/or allowed any of these corrupt people into remain in positions of power. All of them should have been fired on Day 1 and then started with a new team.

Agreed it was a misstep. But at the point he hired Wray, he really didn’t have any other decent alternatives.

It’s not as if ALL the FBI does is spy on political campaigns. It enforces some fairly serious policy that actually matter to the workings of the country. The country is so fricking polarized and Trump is having huge problems and delays getting his nominees confirmed. Shoot they shot down Ratcliffe for a position and he’s on the House Intelligence Committe and was a US atty! We couldn’t sit around and wait for a fbi head. Too dangerous.

Hopefully, he’s been researching some alternatives in the interim that could get confirmed. it appears you and I agree that Wray needs to be fired.

Frankly, it would also give the findings of the IG report some teeth. The whole point of an IG report is to inform the relevant agency (which is ultimately answerable to the President) whether the employees are doing a good job. It’s not a criminal investigation, it’s a fricking job performance review. Trump should fire any and all Justice Dept Employees identified in that report. There need to be consequences for screwing up at your job, even if it was “without political bias” (which is such bullshite .

This is one of the biggest questions i have about Trump. I can attribute him leaving old admin players in place due to "lies or bad advice" from perps around him. He gave them the benefit of the doubt and it failed. At some point he had to say, "enough is enough" and it's time to go outside of DC for team members.

Another reason for his post choices i think is being that his Admin has had such a cloud over it cast by the treasonous dems. Be tough to find people willing to accept a post and then immediately be attacked and have to hire lawyers to defend yourself over fake accusations. Trump just having to work with a smaller employment pool that other admins that weren't under attack.

Within 6 months it was obvious Wray was deep state as he was stifling attempts to get FBI docs from outsiders by rushing to classify all kinds of docs relating to this spy operation.
