When Barry ran in 2008 I thought he was supposed to be the upstart maverick candidate. This is a bitch move for the DNC on his part.

Election inteference!! They will do anything to keep Bernie from winning the nomination.

Simple answer: everyone quit and hand it to Sleepy Joe or Hiawatha. I'm less afraid of Bernie that Warren, because he won't possibly get anything accomplished and his executive orders will get squashed in the courts with the quickness. With Warren, she's more calculating and shrewd that Bernie, and she won't throw mud at the wall like Bernie will. She will tear the country down instittion by institution, where Bernie's "burn it to the ground" approach will get him removed from office.

Millions of people care what he thinks.

This would send the Dems into a tailspin and would cause Bernie bros to either stay at home or vote 3rd party

It's a sad state of affairs in this country when a communist is concerned about where a socialist might take us.

I am no fan of Bernie, but are his policies really that much worse that Warrens or any of the others.

They are all socialists. Bernie is the only one who admits it.

It will only embolden the Sanders camp. Obama has a lot of pull with the Dems in this country, but this would be a mistake.

Let's hope he does it.

while i think the DNC is dirty AF, i kinda don't blame them for trying to exclude Bernie. He only caucuses with the Dems when he wants to run for president and then goes back to ind. when he's done.

LINK
Democratic (2015–2016; 2019–present)[1]
Independent (Congressional affiliation, until 1969; 1978–present)

he's just using their party to run because he knows he'll get 0 traction if he's not on the dem side on the ballot.

He’s not concerned where Bernie would take us. He’s concerned Bernie would take a 1984 esque thrashing in the general election and would set the left back a decade.

Do you want a 1968 convention?

Because this is how you get a 1968 convention.

That’s likely to happen no matter which one of those lunatics gets the nomination.

The least likely to take such a thrashing is Biden, even with all the corruption and gaffes.

All other candidates will splinter their voters and kill them in downticket races too.

They are between a rock and a hard place. They know Bernie is too far left to be a serious contender for the WH, so if he wins the nomination Trump is basically guaranteed.

However, if they step in and trash Bernie (and it's already started), they risk alienating a decent chunk of democratic voters who (based on the fact they are team Bernie) are crazy and will write him in out of spite, abstain, and a small percentage even vote for DJT.

Bernie is getting old and senile. He's doddering and hesitant in his speech. He's always confused. The Dems need to nominate someone who is sharp, witty, quick thinking.

They need to choose Joe Biden.
