Quite the contrary, I think they love it when Trump talks about his ballroom, especially on days when the price of gas goes up or new inflation numbers are released.
Nothing would make them happier than for Trump to call a special half-hour long press conference to explain the need for a billion dollar ballroom right now.

I don’t think the ballroom moves the needle for anyone outside of the beltway for or against.
