Holy shite. A concession speech the night they actually lost. What a novel idea.

Y'all are stage 5 clinging to a democrat being elected in a democrat state who was preceded by a democrat.

It was predictable, however.

Congrats on 17 out of 50 governorships. I can see the domination setting in already.

So out of the 1000+ seats Dem have lost on the local, state and federal level, which one did this make up?

Oh yeah, it didn't.

Dems keep 2 state races and win 1 Governorship (in a historically Democrat state) and this is a "bad night for Trump"?

Typical Democrat, setting the bar for success extremely low

Bad night for Trump? No it was bad night for freedom lovers and tax payers. But how does anyone figure that when a race or two pops up in Trump's term that is likely a Dem win already equate to a referendum on Trump? Good grief the media is searching for anything to cling to...

Democrats without a Clinton on the ballot will do much better. She was an anchor on the party.

Trump is going full boss right now in Asia. I doubt he gives 2 shits about losing governor elections in traditionally blue states.

How many districts that trump won did republicans lose yesterday? How about the opposite?

You guys need a win so badly. I guess this is all you can muster. Bless your heart.

I couldn't agree with you more. Look at the result of the Assembly election in Virginia: after the 2016 meltdown w/ Hillary, two thirds of the Assembly were elected REPUBLICANS! Now after last night, Democrats RECAPTURED the Virginia statehouse!

There's no question that President Obama's campaign rally on behalf of Northam and the Democrats in Virginia was a quick shot of adrenalin into the arm of a formerly indifferent establishment. We can only hope the former President soon traverses Alabama on behalf of Doug Jones.

You wish. Trump was lukewarm on Gillespie to begin with. I wouldn't read too much into the Va election.
