you are so fricking stupid it is unbelievable. You are one of these idiots that thinks everyone should be getting minimum $25 an hour, and by your comments, everyone should get a pension of $175K. How the hell do you think either of these will be funded? For the $25 an hour to flip burgers, that means your Wendy's value meal would go to $20. Do you not get that? For the high pension, it means everyone's taxes would go up substantially.

Please tell me how we fund these things that you stupid liberals think we should all have. What's the fkn point of increasing minimum wage when everything goes up cost wise to fund the increases....you are still in the same boat. But, I know, you have all the answers. You have no clue about economics, just a dumb bitch.

You are super mad about something, and it has nothing to do with a stranger questioning another stranger who would rather see no one get a pension than everyone getting one.

In total the Teamsters pension bailouts have been well over $50 billion over the past 10-15 years. It's crazy to think millions of US taxpayers without pensions are bailing out other people's mismanaged pension funds.

I will bet the farm that there was nearly $100B given to troubled pensions as part of one of the Covid relief packages.

Instead of advocating for them to lose their good benefits, why not be pissed that you don't get the same benefits?

Sure, let’s pass a law that everyone gets $170k pension.

Where would the money come from?

I will guarantee Cubbie has no issue with the fact Jotato gave the nearly bankrupt Midwest Teamsters Pension fund nearly $40 billion of US taxpayer money during the Covid-19 Hysteria helicopter money giveaway extravaganza. Buying them union votes with US taxpayer dollars.

This is somehow different from the PPP "loans" that Trump gave away to the upper class? What are people obligated to be mad about? Just stuff that happened with someone registered as a D was president?

I'm not mad about anything. I think you are an idiot. Why didn't you answer my question. You clearly implied that everyone should get that, and I've read before where you said minimum wage should be higher, much higher. So, again, how do you expect to fund those changes?

True. Try and stay on topic. This thread is not about any other waste of tax dollars. Stop deflecting and downplaying.

For sure. I gave the Teamsters bailout total of $50 billion and there were definitely other pension bailouts in the Covid-19 Hysteria stimulus.

you think you are going to get a good answer from that nut job? She can't even spell economics, let alone understand it. She also has no clue that if companies are forced to pay much higher wages, that the cost of living will skyrocket. She is a typical liberal nut job.

That’s the scary part. Government officials are doling out OUR tax dollars to whoever will keep getting them elected or keep their party in power regardless of how it affects everyday Americans. They should be held accountable for spending us into insolvency. The press and voters should be more vocal when these deals are struck.

I’ll do ok in retirement, but I’m one of the fortunate few that won’t be severely hit in the wallet. And I’ll have 30+ years with my company. But my company pension will be a very small part of my monthly income.

It doesn't make sense to sky scream about people getting something he doesn't get but wants to get. He suggested that they don't deserve or shouldn't get the pension he himself wants. If you agree with that mentality - wonderful. It seems rather petty and nonsensical to me. Wish for whatever you want.

And, they all own a house and a boat in Fort Lauderdale and get in arguments with the retired Boston police officers who live there as well.

Yes. It's very different.

By the way, PPP loans were not given to just the "upper class" - shite tons of small businesses were able to survive while the country had a brainfart because of PPP.

No. What he was actually saying is he doesn't want to have to pay for your generosity.

Pointing out that these government pensions are absurd and irresponsible is being envious? You need to think before typing.

He’s doing exactly as he should and then we should ALL make sure that this is eliminated in the future.

wtf was that? a bunch of garbage. You clearly made a statement supporting the huge pension. You have, in the past, advocated for much higher minimum wage. You are straight up a communist...want everything given to you without any thought of how or where it comes from. You probably need to live under a communist regime.

You're not gonna reach her. Her houghts and reasoning are quite frequently so discombobulated I think she confuses herself. She doesn't know me or my situation, for all she knows I could be living in squalor or living quite comfortably, it doesn't matter, she thinks I'm envious of a NYC fireman's pension and she couldn't be more wrong. The real point of the OP was to illustrate the fiscal blackhole that is NYC while they payout hundreds of million if not billions in public worker pensions.
