An attorney representing Lafayette hospital employees and staff sent a demand letter to hospitals this morning seeking removal of covid vaccine mandates. If not done then suit will be filed.

It’s not anti-vaccine in nature— rather, the demand is based upon an individual's right to determine their own healthcare, and employers cannot force employees to do anything that violates law. The attorney is on Moon Griffon radio now (10 am central)

The demand was sent to both hospitals Lourdes and ochsner

It's really amazing to me that hospital administrators can cry about being understaffed for over a year, but can threaten to fire a large percentage of employees.

Especially employees who have been functioning and working perfectly fine in their current system for the entirety of the pandemic. Yet, now, they are immediately a problem.

Good.
This has been going on for years unchallenged with the FluVax. Hopefully, it will gain footing.

One of my friends that is a nurse that manages other nurses quit immediately on notice of the mandate and immediately got a job in healthcare administration. Funny thing is they had her finish out her 2 week notice because they needed her on staff. This fully deserves that meme of a guy putting a stick into the spokes of his own bicycle.

Jimmy is one of the guys I would want representing me in this matter. If anyone can get a win for the good guys it is him.

I wonder how this applies to Destroya's mandate?

The CEO of Ochsner has straight up said he doesn't forsee a massive shortage in employees after the vaccination deadline, because people will comply rather than lose their job. I sincerely hope the 30% unvaccinated hold the line just to put him in a pickle.

First off, this is great. However, you've got to get the name of the business right.

WTF is "Our Lady of Ochsner Lafayette General"? I'm assuming that they're sending the same letter to both Our Lady of Lourdes and Lafayette General (which would be great, bc I have family that works for the FMOL Health System).

He is hedging a big bet here. I hope he loses out, and Oschner fails. It's time for some of these companies to go tits up for their bullshite!

Did I make this up, or wasn't this already ruled on earlier in the year at some level of the legal system?

EDIT: O.k., no legal ruling was made, but a bunch of "legal experts"were consulted and their opinions were reported.

That letter…that’s how you do it. Well crafted and substantial. Very substantial.

They are aware of the typo. It’s being corrected. You are correct. The demand was sent to both hospitals.
