Attorney: Cohen would not accept a pardon from Trump

Lanny Davis, an attorney representing Michael Cohen, said Wednesday that Cohen "would never accept" a pardon from President Trump after pleading guilty in Manhattan court to tax fraud and campaign finance law violations.
“Not only is he not hoping for it, he would not accept a pardon," Davis said on NBC's "Today."
Davis said Wednesday that Cohen regrets some of his work for Trump, but has decided "that his family and his country were his priorities."
"He certainly found Donald Trump as president to be unsuitable to hold the office after Helsinki," Davis said, referring to a summit earlier this year with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "He worried about the future of our country with somebody who was aligning himself with Mr. Putin.”

But Governor, when it comes to our foreign policy, you seem to want to import the foreign policies of the 1980s, just like the social policy of the 1950s, and the economic policies of the 1920s."

Sounds like they know he’s a liar, and trying to build some credibility. That’s why all this PR attempts to distance him from Trump. They are marketing Cohen to Mueller

Y'all keep saying bull like this but it is just as untrue today as every other day. If Trump is impeached, Pence becomes president, not a democrat. These investigations and prosecutions are being run by republicans, not democrats. The prevailing view here is that republicans shouldn't prosecute corruption and crimes if they are committed by republicans. Fortunately some other republicans have taken the correct position that aligning oneself with the republican party is not a licence to commit criminal activity without consequence or prosecution. But you folks here are truly dangerous.

Do you know what impeached means? Clinton was impeached. Andrew Johnson was impeached. Neither were removed from office by the Senate.

People are beginning to see that there is a two-tiered justice system in this country: one for Republicans and another for Democrats.
Do you think the Clinton campaign should be investigated with the same vigor as the Trump campaign? There's more evidence of collusion/criminal activity on the former than the latter, but you seem very quiet with regards to Hillary. Why?

Cohen has a smart strategy. Align yourself with the press and be painted a hero. frick him. MAGA will win in the end as he always does

Is there no code which states that an attorney must seek to do what is best for the client?
Is hanging your client out as a martyr a situation that we want attorneys pursuing?
This statement by Davis seems unethical at best (shocker)
