I can understand people preferring DeSantis but if you want him simply because you’re scared of the way the media treats Trump you’re an absolute coward

Possibly worse in some significant ways, i.e. manipulating his record as a politician, which they didn’t have with Trump leading up to his maiden effort in 2016. They’ll manipulate things like “don’t say gay” and “state political and law enforcement officials were fired for trying to protect abortion”.

I’d vote for Desantis all day, every day. I’m not going to vote for Trump regardless. There are way more people like me than you realize.

After the media is done their propaganda campaign you won’t vote for DeSantis either, he will be too controversial. But you are right, there are a LOT of voters like you.

Why wouldn’t people want to give Trump 4 more years? He only managed the following:
No Foreign Wars
Peace Deals in the Middle East
Energy Independence
Cheap Gas
Economic Prosperity
Tax Cuts

He did all that with Federal agencies trying to screw him, the media running stories they knew were false, and Congress is impeaching him.

But some supposedly conservatives posters don’t want him to run.

Add to your list:

Exposed the unimaginable extent of the swamp and many specific individuals within it in a way most people were previously unaware.

While I am Team Trump, I am just a little concerned about age. Biden is 79 and Trump is 76 right now.

We see the cliff in cognition that Biden has fallen in just this year. Heaven forbid another 4 years of the potato and chief. Biden would be 85/86 when he would complete his second term. Trump if re-elected would be 78 when he takes office and 82 at the end of the term. I hope Trump knows when to say it’s time.

Regardless of who's the GOP nominee, I'm voting "R". The vast majority of folks on this board will do the same. Only an uninformed (useful)idiot would do opposite.

If Trump wins, Biden and the old career politicians like Pelosi, Clinton, Schumer will all die off. It’ll be too much for them to handle at their ages.

Trump just wants the fight. Meanwhile DeSantis not only fights but he has shown he is willing to back it up. He fights with Disney , then he gets the Florida legislature to strip them of their tax exemption. He is against teaching gender ideology.....he gets a law passed about it. A State's Attorney says she won't enforce the state's abortion law....he suspends her. While other governors - aside from Kemp in GA were chickens hit during the pandemic and violating civil rights, DeSantis says " live your life, just be careful" . No mask mandates , no shutting down things.

Unlike Trump who wants to fight, fight, fight but really lands no punches, DeSantis lands upper cuts and shots to the ribs consistently. Trump just dances.

Here’s the thing, though. When they come after RD like that, he’ll be able to defend his record and point out the media’s lies in such an effective way that leftist news outlets and celebrities will even apologize to him when they realize they’re wrong, as we’ve already seen happen. Polls indicate that most Americans support his policies on keeping sex talk out of elementary schools and he can point to that all day.

Trump deals with the media just by calling them a disgrace, and nothing else.

He will lose, and lose hard.

Hold up - you think if the GOP runs BDR instead of Trump, the left will be fair in their elections?

You serious mang?

and those "cowards" vote, too.

It's not about who you think the right guy is. It's about who can win. Trump can't. We just saw this happen 5 minutes ago.

That's why Herschel Walker is gonna frick up Georgia. He might be the right guy...but he can't win.

The fact they claim it will be a guaranteed win should cause some concern
