They'll have to be tried and convicted, this is not a good case to prosecute.

how could they possibly be in jail for simply doing their duty and not an ounce more than excessive?

The same way innocent people are charged (and convicted) with crimes they didn’t commit every day

yet police are some beacon of purity? according to you they are arresting innocent people daily.

Tonight is going to be a great social experiment and learning experience for the rest of the country. I feel sorry for the law abiding citizens that live in Atlanta.

Anyone can be charged with anything.

Everyone who is reasonable knows these charges wont stand.

Do you just like being wrong?

Yeah, because no DA has ever before purposely lied to arrest and charge somebody for political gain. You ever heard of Mike Nifong?

Yeah but you act like that means something, bringing the charges is easy. This is not going to be a good case, my guess is the charges will be dropped.

After mass walkouts among members of the Atlanta police department, the mayor began requesting assistance from mutual aid jurisdictions. Officers from these jurisdictions are refusing to respond to any call other than one for an officer down.

Stretched thin police force with podunk likely undertrained cops brought in to help.

That sounds like it will work.

Don’t forget the social workers!

I think being charged with murder when the evidence doesn’t support a charge of murder is prosecutorial misconduct. I also don’t believe a mayor calling for murder charges within 12 hours is due process.

And the DA is responsible for this one, too, thanks to his handling of the case with the cops tazing the protesters.

Once those cops got charged, all those departments stopped supporting APD.
