I’m sure all the families who have lost loved ones because of this mindset would really appreciate this insight and opinion.

frick you, I hope a drunk driver smokes you the next time your out on the road and then get your opinion.

My company and my wife’s law firm offices are both in downtown but we are looking at the suburbs, specifically Johns Creek.

Lived there for 5 plus years (deer lake subdivision at 141 and McGinnis ferry). If suburbia is your goal - Johns Creek is a bullseye. Tons of parks, trails and such. Great choice.

A bit of a haul to downtown with traffic though. I commutes to buckets which was a straight shot down 141 and it wasn’t bad

wrong. If lethal force was used when he was fighting with them and the officers feared their life was in danger, that's one thing. They fired at him as he was running away from a DUI arrest. Even with the perp having a taser, lethal force was completely unnecessary. eta - If there are less than 100 downvotes on this post I will be disappointed

I died on this hill yesterday and was dead wrong.

If you still feel this way after watching the body cam footage along with the other videos then you are an idiot. It’s okay to admit you’re wrong when presented with new facts. The cops did nothing to provoke Brooks and yes it sucks he was killed but he brought it on himself.

There are decent areas above the perimeter serviced by Marta (gold or red line, I think). Might be worth considering if you’re already used to the rail ride.

I’ll have to look into that, thanks for the advice.

Good to know, we’ve seen a couple houses that we really like there. The commute isn’t that big of a deal to us, we are more concerned with all the stuff you said and making sure our kids are in a good school.

I will say this, my 11 year old is fricking pissed we are moving out of NYC, she’s a full blown NYer and is convinced that living in a southern suburb is the definition of hell. That was one of the things I didn’t want to happen, but she’ll get over it once she makes some friends.

I'm gonna' have to check the archives, but this one will certainly go into the candidates for consideration list, and it's a very short list.

It’s what any rational person should do, thanks for the post though man, I appreciate it.

Not to be mean to anyone, but the more to one side or the other, the less rational people get.

I also think being liberal takes some rationality away.

I just get emotional about incidents like this but this proves why you don’t let your emotions control your decision making and how you come to conclusions.

It seems like you're a lawyer if I read correctly somewhere. You have every right to get emotional and make decisions based on incomplete information on a message board.

It is what we all do. It is expected often times.

But you didn't let emotion rule just like you don't in your job after more information came out.

Anyways, don't downplay the rational ability you have to change your mind when more information comes out. It's a great mental ability to have.

If Val Demmings chimed in before the facts , Biden lost his two most sane options.

Yeah I’m gonna give this guy a pass for the mea culpa. Giving people shite when they correct their viewpoint is how we get to this point.

Wife is a lawyer. And you’re right emotion can play a factor but when you completely base your conclusion on emotions like what I let happen yesterday is when you run into issues.

If he can pass the field sobriety test they don’t use a breathalyzer and they have someone come get him to help him sleep it off.

The walking of the line etc is such BS Aand it has been proven everyday cops cannot tell the difference between drunk and nervous/clumsy.

Which is why they then administered a breathalyzer. If you didn't watch the video then why are you commenting?

Blacks have been taught culturally that lying as a witness is perfectly acceptable.

If I were on a jury testimony from an inner-city black witness against a white person would be completely meaningless to me.

Ferguson was a good example of that.

Cool story

Observation is your friend. Every single one of these cases has had brazen lying from the so-called eyewitnesses. As somebody else pointed out. Ferguson was a great example. But all you have to do is look at every single supposed eyewitness every time they try to beat the s*** out of somebody in a car
