No, this is a big boy discussion, run along.

bullshite, you're lying, AGAIN. Knock it off.
He's lying? I've personally lost Christian friends once they found out I lost my faith and became an atheist.

I have no problems discussing it if asked, and most of my friends know I'm not a Christian anymore. If you're asking if I'm an angry arse about it though then no.

Are you asking if I believe in the separation of church and state? Because I absolutely do.

I mean, are you politically active with it?

I get the feeling that he is one of the "angry atheists" who can't figure out why nobody likes him.
In my experience, the non-believers with the most religious knowledge and who are the most comfortable in their lack of belief are the ones who just don't think about it that much. It's pretty silly IMO to spend a huge portion of your time talking shite about something you don't believe in. Internet debates are one thing, but doing so in real life all the time is just strange to me.

My point was that there is a stigma, or taboo, attached to being an atheist publicly. Whether it's in a social or work environment, it can and often does change things.

first they try to witness to you
then if that doesn't work, sometimes they isolate you to force you to convert. happened to me a bit in high school

Politically active with it? That's the saddest thing I've ever heard.

Maybe it was the way I was raised. A couple of my parents best friends aren't believers and never went to church. My parents are devout Catholics and they never let it bother them or try to convert them.
I seriously have never seen these things. I also hang out almost solely with the higher education/medical crowd, so that may have something to do with it as well.
