Puppet David Muir kept saying, "George, our polling data is showing us that uneducated white voters are responsible if Donald Trump does in fact win this election." LOL!

I still laugh when I think about this CNN idiot.

I think it was around 7pm. We had been walleye fishing on Lake Poinsett in South Dakota and went back to the cabin. I turned on the TV and saw the early return numbers.

I used to be very involved in presidential political campaigns and ran some numbers on the precincts reporting and the demographics in those reported and unreported and started a text chain with some of the people I have met through the year. Needless to say it was an epic night.

Thank you for rekindling memories from one of the most joyous nights of my life.

ETA: I also remember watching the so-called experts the morning of the election going over the numbers and giving DJT a 0% chance of winning. They ran down every possible scenario and said there was no way.

It was late in the evening. I had voted for Trump but was not convinced he would win. Election night I switched from MSNBC and Fox expecting an entertaining meltdown on one or another. I could not buy better entertainment than watching the prog meltdown and the cut away to the crying at Clinton headquarters.

When Florida was really close, before the panhandle came in. I figured he'd win Florida, and if he did that, he had a chance.

I think it was around 7:00 when the body language among the pundits abruptly changed. The black lady who used to do a daytime show on MSNBC was talking about Trump's lead in FL and Maddie interrupted to point out that Miami precincts were just starting to come in but the lady responded that Trump was doing much better than expected among non-Cuban Hispanics. Maddow and Matthews looked like they were about to cry. That shift in body language was obvious on every channel.

When I saw how close it was in Virginia for a long time. I knew then Trump had a real chance to pull it off.

Didn’t believe it until wolf started melting down about scenarios Hillary could win.

Next day was the most glorious hangover of my life.

Right here. When they announced Wisconsin I knew it was over. Crowd starts chanting lock her up. Poured myself a tall glass of Macallan.

LOL. There was NO sleeping for this ole boy.

Waiting on final results on Election night was like watching LSU play in the NCG X 100.

There was so much at stake for this beautiful country. Had my doubts, but based on DJT’s performance to date I’m so thankful it didn’t go the other way. Obviously, we dodged a bullet.

When Florida numbers came in. I stayed up all night and fortunately had the next day off. Greatest election night of my life.

Months before elections.

If you watched on the news apps, when Trump held a rally or delivered a speech, there were 75k people watching for every speech. When Hillary spoke there were like 13k watching. Trump had three times the followers on his facebook account as Hillary did. Also, when Trump came to Baton Rouge, it was the largest political rally in state history. The next week Bill Clinton came and spoke at an event and 12 people showed up.

I went into the evening not optimistic that Trump would win. But as optimism on this site was growing, someone posted a link to a guy on twitter who was really good in his analysis of the results. This guy was pointing out that even though Trump was losing at the moment in some swing states, Hillary's numbers in the democrat leaning districts of those states was not near as big as previous Dem candidates had been. The more that guy tweeted positive numbers for Trump, the more I believed that magnificent orange bastard was going to pull it off.

I tuned into CBSN on my cell phone and the two young announcers looked a little depressed. I told my wife that Trump was doing better than expected.

Had never heard of them prior to the election, but the clips of the Young Turks on election night was the greatest.
