Extremism in all forms, shades, colors, genders is ridiculous and ignorant. The vast vast vast majority of republicans do not condone the bs we saw yesterday. The vast majority of dems do not either. This is embarrassing to us all in the norm.

You're not going to listen to this, but BLM and whatever KKK/Nazi/White Supremacist movements were there yesterday are not equatable. The latter is based on pure hatred for non-white races, unabashedly so. The former has a different mission statement. Many of you don't like it and refer to it as 'anti-white' or whatever, but their explicit purpose is not to destroy white people.
this is absolute BS. Why don't you actually research the 4 people that founded BLM.
Furthermore, the dallas cop killer, the ferguson riots, the riots in north carolina, all were committed in the NAME of BLM.
Did you think BLM should have condemned all the bad stuff committed in its name?

The fact remains that Trump and his WH aid Bannon don't really want to call out groups like the NSM or LoftS because that would be pissing on a certain part of their base.
Or more likely, they didn't realize how quickly this entire situation would spiral out of control and figured denouncing violence in general would be good enough. Which it should have been but the media has decreed that what he said wasn't enough and many Americans have bought that hook, line and sinker.

Amen brother. Never knowingly even seen an extremist in living color unless one considers Subaru drivers as being extremists

Pointing out hypocrisy being labeled whataboutism is some funny shite.
Exactly. It's the go to now for when they have no answer for being mad about things they previously were OK with.

Trump showed his lack of willingness to attack these hate groups and it will tar his legacy even further
Did Obama's refusal to attack BLM and Antifa tar his legacy?
Hell he actually invited them to the White House.
Failed again.

John McCain sucked the dick of the democrat party and all they stand for, for years and still was painted as a racist extremist in 2008. Same with Mitt Romney
You can't win. Just ignore it all. If I am going to be called a racist so be it. There is nothing I can do about it.

And many posters on this board label anyone left of 1:30 as a libtard communist with a genetic disorder that deserve death. Now you know how it feels.

They didn't realize how quickly? Dude you had a torch march on an American campus Friday night with a couple of hundred Neo Nazis. Then the Vehicle situation happen and the alt-right twitterverse immediately tried to spin the situation into this being a member of the far left trying to kill people. When that narrative failed they tried to point out that the police didn't do their job yesterday.
Trump and his WH aids are quick to point out foreign terrorism, the media or how Mitch McCounell isn't doing what they want. But when a situation like this goes down he makes a pretty weak speech on the matter at hand.

Hyperbole much?

Stupid neo nazis just set trump back, maybe for good.

I'd also point out that only one group was lawfully assembled. Until everyone started fighting. Then even that permit was revoked.
Then, just to add idiocy to dumbassedness, the police were pulled back. Probably by the Democrat mayor who wanted the outnumbered 'alt-right' to get their asses whipped.

In fairness, he's not. His mistake is not realizing that a lot of the bigger loons that say that are just playing characters.

I think the majority of presidents don't have a problem saying that Neo Nazis have no place in this country or at least I would hope so. But with this administration we have to receive leaks from WH staff clarifying certain statements.
Which this isn't the only incident this month that can be looked at with a skeptical eye. When the bombing in Minnesota happen. One of his WH aids labeled it has fake news and not a real story.

CNN has been calling all Trump supporters Nazis and White Supremecists since the election. They used this event to drive that point home.
This is going to reach a dangerous tipping point very soon.

Why give these people legitimacy, attention, and validation by naming them and directly talking to them?
Why is thy necessary?
How does it help?
The MSM constantly blaring their names and monikers on TV I'm sure is only serving to galvanize them further.
Giving a group an attention and a name divides people. A blanket statement of unity and against violence is all the president should say.
We are against all violence regardless of color, creed, or code. And that's exactly what he said.
What fricking moron thinks that if Trump doesn't come to a press conference and list every single hate group that he must support them. Do you know how fricking stupid that sounds?

It seems it's a way to avoid actually talking about the issues from both points of view too.
