You don’t even understand the book you claim to believe in and quote but that it is common for many supposed “Christians” in the US. Jesus isn’t referring to the government and rarely addresses any form of government in his entire ministry. He is referring to Christians helping other Christians which Paul goes into more detail about later in the New Testament. Second, the Bible addresses on multiple occasions the sin of laziness and not which again Jesus isn’t referring to able bodied people but widows and orphans. Jesus had no occupation and spent his adult life in the years of his ministry teaching about the love of God with no permanent home or means of food. That is what Jesus is referencing, you nor very few if any other people in the World are doing that and if they are then yes you have a duty as a Christian to support them. Jesus is absolutely not referencing an adult sitting on the couch refusing to work, quite the opposite they are supposed to go without food. Your faith in God is supposed to compel you to action and in a cheerful manner not begrudgingly through the government or forced coercion. You simply do not know what you are talking about

The 10 Commandments have nothing to do with Christianity and are a snapshot of the Law of Moses. Do you follow the rest of the Law in Leviticus or are you just trying to sound clever because if you keep part of the Law you have to keep the whole? Good luck with the Law, it won’t save you but it’s just a microcosm of your lack of knowledge and TikTok Christianity

The Bible also says those that will not work shall not eat. Note "will not" not ""cannot".

If you think this is some kind of gotcha, you have no idea what a Christian is!

If you believe folks are going to go hungry, tell Chuck to to re-open the government.

Fostering government dependency for people able to work is a great evil.

Sweden to so far down that road that about 25% of their working age population simply quit working and lived off of government benefits. That changed out of necessity.

100% agree but why do most Christians not do any of this individually?

Where did you get this idea? Christians contribute more to charity than secularists, atheists, or any other religion.

That’s how you know she is part of the government. She used to be a teacher, now she’s graduated to some other government entity, obviously

The Bible also says “thou shall not steal”. The government shouldn’t take from one group to give to another. Jesus was talking about Christians giving to those who are hungry or naked, not some convoluted government scam. The church and community used to take care of those in need. The government has usurped that duty.

Read and study the Word to show yourself approved.
