The biggest red flag in his military career is not getting a company command as a captain or at least an AS3 slot. As an infantry officer, not getting your company is a stake in the heart. It often makes what we called frustrated commanders who were often a PITA to work with; it usually peaks when they are a major, often when they are in one of the "lesser" shops. The Army needs good staff officers but they almost always lack something in the leadership area.

He has done a fantastic job of getting rid of dei, lgbtqrxdfd, and making our military a fighting organization not a social experiment.
We will probably find out that the army secretary's idea of modernizing the military included some fat contracts to contractors of his choosing while not doing shat to address the girly men in his organization.

Yes recruiting is a good indicator of motivation for people JOINING the military. The last administration was kicking people out for not taking the jab not saying the proper pronouns, etc. quit being a fricking idiot.
