Real talk, is there ANY issue on this board in which you aren't fighting with the minority ? Any topic in which you are just like "yeah okay, that shite is stupid?" IOW do you really hold all the absurd positions, or do you just enjoy the argument?
Did I or did I not concede that my memory of the King novella is “decades old” and “could well” be wrong?

If you are whining about the potential casting of Jordan as Superman, opinions seem to split about evenly.

I like the way you characterize any view contrary to your own as being “absurd.”

Buckeye nails it.

Arguing politics is fun. Attaboys from people who do not even understand the issues they “support” is boring.

I see all the super hero and Lego movies though...

I think (hope) my boy is about to outgrow Lego so
What is his age? My girls are 9 and 10, and we still play lego almost daily.

DC has effed up almost all their heroes and story lines thru the box office movies... It's like they're working to promote Marvel. We'll see how this plays out.

I don't characterize views that are contrary to mine as absurd my friend, reality does that.

How come there is never a demand for a Hispanic one or Asian one?

Pandering to 13% of the fricking us population rather than billions of Asians

Did you by any chance see Black Panther during its first week or two?

Pandering = profits

That's a traditionally black character, so comic book fans had no issues with them making the character black. If DC wants that sort of response, then they need to be thinking about Steel.

Coincidentally, Steel is a far, far better character than Superman.

I think my irritation is the stupid studios who don’t realize that Cavill was great, it was the shitty stories and rollout plan that has held DC back. But that would put the blame on them.

The black Superman thing just comes across as a cynical effort to force critics to love the movie no matter how shitty it is.

I agree that Cavill did a good job with the material he was given. The problem is that the character is just such a Boy Scout that the range of the CHARACTER is limited.

Clark Kent is BORING, while Bruce Wayne (or Tony Stark or Eddie Blake) is a seriously interesting and twisted individual.

White people sure are funny.....Yall get mad at minorities playing fictional characters, but seem to have no issue with white actors playing non-fiction characters....

Each and every one of those was as stupid as a black Superman would be.

Feel better.
