Not to derail, but the above bolded flies in the face of the Liberal "life's lottery" principle, wherein their WHOLE moral, redistributionist Ideology is based.
Upon what criteria God bases 'placement', is another whole theological can o worms.

I went to a couple of stores today. The red kettle was there but there were no bell ringers.

Did they ever think they could get donations from people they want to apologize for something immutable?
My white ancestors were slaves to coal mining companies. We never owned other humans. I’ll be damned if I feel guilty for the sins of someone else’s fathers.

Screw them! Until THEY can apologize for being woke dumbasses…and I mean sincerely apologize…then we can talk.
Asking me to basically apologize for being white….absurd!

While entering the Walmart last weekend, the Lord told me to put a 5-spot in that little red kettle, so I did.

And not just a change of leadership, but a public statement and apology. It would be easy enough to claim that they were doing it for the right reasons, but I suspect we won’t get any such announcement. I’m talking about somebody would have to really fall on the sword and beg forgiveness, whereas I suspect at most we may get some sort of “misguided but well-meaning decisions were made”
Oh I agree. Same stance I've had regarding pro sports.

Used to. Baffled by their Leftward lurch. Red kettles can gather dust. Done.

No. It’s a bummer, but no.
Salvation Army leadership’s half arse effort to address the issue only serves to doubly piss me off. First, they labeled whites as racist. Then they failed to acknowledge it and were indignant about the materials created by their own social justice commission. They let everything slide.

Nope, I don't donate money to racist organizations.

Drop one of these in the kettle

Nope. I can barely stop myself from giving them the middle finger now. I just donate to a local food pantry now.

We are not giving to them this year as we have in the past. That money will go elsewhere.
Have any Houston area folks heard of Angel Tree (a subsidiary of Salvation Army)? I recently heard some very scandalous first hand info. The “rumor” is that most the gifts are funneled off to well to do families or at least not the most needy people who are somehow connected to the organization. The gifts are like whole bedroom furniture sets, ipads, huge screen TV’s, etc. The real poor kids on the lists seem to be passed over. Of course this is just hearsay from someone who said they donated their time there and claims she saw it happen. She was told by the higher ups to watch where she stepped..

I charge $500 for my white apology. Instead of donating to the Salvation Army I am keeping the $25 per year I used to donate until my apology fee has been paid in full. In the spirt of Christmas... no interest.

Suddenly, that damn little bell is so annoying to me! Give your racist money to St. Jude's instead!

I am going to do this. Seriously thought about dropping a note in the kettle. This is Sooooo much better.

Nah, I don’t think I will. Ever again. Just my local missions.

Here’s how far they have fallen. 15 years ago, at Christmastime, I dropped some change in their kettle outside a Kmart. I accidentally included a small river rock that my four year old son had given me on day while fishing. I carried that rock everywhere. Needless to say, I was devastated. So, I called them. They found the rock and mailed it back to me. That meant the world to me.
Now, they have abandoned everything they stood for to bow down to the 0.005%.

Never again. They split their drawers with me.
