Let's make it simpler than that. No we weren't. Our parents were.
Learn a little bit about our nation's history before coming here with your ignorant conclusions.
I think you’re confusing FDR and his great society with my assertion that the real harm was done by leftists infesting higher education. The infestation of leftists into our universities didn’t pay huge dividends until the 50’s snd 60’s......now most of our educational system is infested with leftists.

I don't disagree.
But I can only control one of those two things, and that's how I act and respond to my upbringing (good, bad or otherwise).
If I'm not adapting and improving, regardless of my upbringing, then I don't think I should be pointing fingers at anyone.

Yes. This is the child of the nonsense that was spawned in the 1960's by the older half of the Boomer generation. The younger half (or the so called "Generation Jones"), not so much.

Yes. Boomers sold out and voted for the people who sold this country. They prioritized cheap plastic shite from China and cheap labor over the security and advancement of their USA born and raised children.
The sad thing is, boomer won't have to lay down fully in the bed they made. Their children and grandchildren will. It's fricking sick and boomers should feel shame every day they wake up for the shite they have allowed to happen to this country.

Here is an idea! What if it isn’t generational at all? What if the problem is accountability? As in individual accountability? Like, each person, regardless of age or generation, is responsible for their own actions and choices, or lack thereof? It’s too easy to blame a whole generation. It’s very hard to own up to one’s own blind spots and choices, and be accountable for oneself. That would go a long way, though, to improving the current blame game climate.

Well be particular about lumping shite on people you have no concept of. And listen, I was far from alone in my hard life growing up. The toughest guy I ever met was from North Alabama and raised up picking cotton, same as I was. And just like me he did it to buy school clothes for $2. a hundred. He went to 'Nam also and actually wanted to get hit to see what it felt like. He was a full year younger than I so he was a certified boomer. Retired constable and he is a war hero. And a man you wouldn't insult to his face. Even though he is in a wheel chair now.

Yes. A large portion of them rejected decency, morality and the like in the '60s and '70s and they passed that affliction on. It's the boomers that undermined higher education and spread Marxist bull shite. Millennials are chips off the old block.
How old are you? I went to school in the 60’s - 70’s and I distinctively remember the curriculum changing in the late 60’s through the 70’s. The teachers that retired in the 60’s through the 80’s were being replaced by throughly left leaning college grads that carried their political ideology into the classrooms.

Naw, the selling out of America to globalism has been going on since the 70’s by the DC power brokers. The sellout accelerated in the 90’s under BJ Clinton but Bush snd Obammy said hold our beers.

Well I’m a boomer and have never voted for a liberal. I’m a conservative, worked and retired, served in the military. Never locked up. Just don’t understand why posters think I am a problem.

I am a so called "boomer" but my wife (a teacher) and I (a professional who grew up in a very poor farming family) did not spoil our kids, and they were expected to do their best with all their activities without pressure from us, with special emphasis on education. Several of our children said we placed too much emphasis on education, but my wife and I never had to pressure them because they knew without us telling them what we expected. But they later admitted we were right.

You’re not. Like me and many other Boomers you rejected the Progressive Download. It’s pretty crazy how many Boomers are still buying the Prog/Dim Marxist BS!
I have 31 years behind since rejecting the Dim ideology.

You are so incorrect. Social Security is not an entitlement but similar to a retirement account where you pay 30-40 years into the system, but with Social Security you are entitled to a lesser pay out than investing in a traditional retirement account

Boomers voted for Nixon, Reagan, Bushes.

This commentary is as dumb as it gets.
The radicals of the 60's became tenured professors in the 80's and began teaching identity politics, the grandfather of the current woke hysteria. There is actually a lot of truth there.

The answer to this question every time is bankers, big law and lobbyist.

Most Boomers would have been too young to vote for Nixon. You would have to be born prior to 1951 to vote for Nixon and that would cut out 75% of the Boomers.
