I don’t know anyone who is gripped with fear over this virus. The only time I hear people mention it is when someone coughs and others joke, “Coronavirus!” I think this thing’s gonna fade into the sunset pretty quickly with warm weather coming down the pike.

Everyone jokes about it. The average person doesn't care.

It is worth being concerned and aware. It is not worth freaking out over. not much is.

If my in-laws (in their 70's and repost every dooms day facebook post they get) aren't freaking out...I think we are good.

Most of the people I know are paying attention but not obsessed with it.

I know one person who refuses to go out in public for fear of catching the Coronavirus. He also has TDS so that could explain it.

In conversations with folks from Seattle, everything remains normal there.

The only way this has affected me is that I couldn't get clorox wipes. That was very annoying.

One of my coworkers was talking about food supplies shutting down. You can't get Lysol and hand sanitizer around town my wife said. But largely no, no one is really worried. It looks like some conferences I am supposed to travel for may be cancelled, I wouldn't mind that at all.

People that think for themselves: Whatever.
People that get their thoughts from the media: Panic.

I’ve had three bowel movements this morning, very unusual for me be I remained calm.

Not where I am. I just went to the grocery store this morning and everything is normal, the shelves are full and I didn't see anyone panic buying. The same holds true for the Walmart I went to yesterday.

The left wing media is trying to blow it out of proportion for obvious reasons

The only people freaking out are the nasty people who don't wash their hands or take showers on the regular. Thank God we found a way to expose those freaks.

I’m not overly concerned on contracting the Coronavirus. I do worry about that for my mother and my children.

What concerns me more than the actual virus are the actions and reactions of others who are freaked out by it. Even a stampede of blind sheep can turn deadly.

There are some, but most are not. My company (hotel company) is freaked out because of the business impact, but not because of the virus itself.

I went to a gathering of 70,000 people Saturday and nobody was worried about it at all.

A large part of the company I work for relies on business from/with China and nobody is freaking out at all, including myself.

White liberals are freaking out.

It’s the same people that freak out about everything.

IRL I have daily encounters with people at the gym, Starbucks, the golf course and my wife encounters her hospital staff.
Zero of these people over the last two weeks are taking any of this as a serious threat. Maybe we just hang out with smarter folks.
