What many don't understand is that many of the leading progressives are Jewish. Schumer, Nadler, Schiff, Sanders as well as many in academia and they are at the forefront of a lot of this. It's kind of naive on our part to think all Jews are pro Israel because they are not necessarily that. Most of them are marginally religious and some are outright agnostic if not ateistic so the religious aspect of Israel does not attract them

No, no. Maybe get rid of the anti Semites in the Republican right wing. The ones who want to convert us. On the other gand, if the anti Semites in the Dem left-wing... we shall see.

You’re talking about a tiny handful of evangelical nut jobs who don’t consider most Christians to be “true Christians” either. It’s a product of media manipulation that you consider them to have any real significance in the Republican Party. And no, we can’t “get rid of” them. I could point to a historical example of a major political party trying to “get rid of” a religious minority, but I’m afraid the analogy somehow might be lost on you.

So the Christians who want to convert all people including Jews and support Israel are anti-Semites?
… I think you must be confusing them with some obscenely tiny group of white nationalists who actually hate the Jewish people.
Reality is some religious Jews might come over to the Republican party if the Dems grow increasingly hostile to Israel, but it won't be a landslide. The majority of Jews in the US are probably closer to cultural Jews whose primary ideology is not their religion but progressive humanism.

I’ve got a close friend who’s Jewish who is very conservative...but he grew up in South Africa and saw the shite show that happened there so his experience is probably a bit different

I am sorry... I gotta call BS on that one. Maybe in your circle you grew up around southern cultural Christians who were poor witnesses. I grew up in the evangelical church... not once did I ever hear someone slander the Jewish people.
If culturally Jewish people want to be offended that some Christians may see the existence of modern day Israel as a sign of God's providence that is their prerogative, but it isn't based on evangelical dislike or hatred of the Jews.
Christians are called to spread the good news to all people... Muslims, Jews, Budhists, Bahai, atheists, agnostics etc. All religions make absolute claims about their faith... even atheism.
Why does it bother culturally Jewish people who are progressive humanists that Christians make absolute claims about their faith and see a kinship with religious Jews?
