Regardless of how you feel or where you stand on the rights of non-citizen prisoners having a right to receive Catholic sacraments it is obvious that this is a political stunt when you look no further than the lead plaintiff priest (jesuit) that offers a mere 45 minutes a week to his flock while he’s complaining about an egregious four hours per week at the prison not being enough to serve the illegal aliens who stole into our country

Visitation policy limits time for clergy visits and permits conversation only by use of a phone, which prevents priests from administering the sacrament of reconciliation or distributing Communion

The Archdiocese of St. Louis, Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski and Father Chris Schroeder are plaintiffs in the lawsuit, which was submitted Oct. 5 to the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Missouri’s southeast division.

Priests of the other orders tend to view Jesuits with some disdain because Jesuits see themselves as more intellectual than they actually are. From my interactions with lots of priests I think their dim view of Jesuits is justified.

Life long Catholic and I agree.

This should get thrown out on summary judgement. The Catholic church is on record during covid that receiving the sacrament is not required to meet your holy obligations. If this were a real issue, the church would have filed lawsuit during covid when they could only provide mass through televised services and online.

The Catholic church and most other churches are nothing more than businesses. The Pope lives better than 99.999% of the people on earth. Mother Teresa that's a different story.

Just like most liberals do.

This is just one of a plethora of reasons why Missouri has needed to break up those voting districts and re-assign more in Pubs favor.
STL just becomes more and more of a ludicrous embarrassment to our state.
Oh, and they are the only city in the state with Rank Choice Voting.
