Nah, if you are going to employ a firearm, you need to be prepared to use the firearm for its intended purpose... He should have just hit him with the truck if he just wanted to wing him...

because the police and prosecutors no longer handle these things

they have left the people to fend for themselves and are not shocked to find out that people will take care of what they have decided to ignore despite being paid by the people to do that job.

Case in point, look at these district attorneys that openly state that they will not handle theft cases where the value is less than $750.

This leaves a vacuum that ordinary people will fill.

The police don’t handle things you don’t call them about. You are correct.

Really?

So, no crimes are prosecuted in this area, like at all?

I don't believe this is one of those cases...

So, chasing someone down and shooting them is perfectly fine with you? I mean hell, I am with you, lets judge and execute them right on the street...

Someone get me a fricking rope...

They were trying to get more accurate information for their report obviously.

Because you value your neighbors and community. A difficult thing for hyperindividualists to conceive.

It takes a pretty individualistic person to decide that they are the law enforcement arm of Satilla Shores.

You don't know that.

But I'm sure if 2 dudes with guns out followed you around for a while, while a 3rd person in another car also assisted them in following you, you wouldn't feel your life is threatened at all.

Who did he attempt to harm?

Do you suppose 'dead in the street' is the only way the police can locate someone?

Seriously, follow him until the police arrive if you wish but these fricking morons created the situation that led to this guys completely unnecessary death. Its murder, case closed.

If I saw a guy I knew was trespassing I would probably just call the police.

At most i would maybe follow him while calling the police.

and if i did that I wouldn't try and stop him unless I saw him attempt another crime.

People who intend to kill other people don’t call 911 first and then wait for them to have their hands on the barrel of the gun

There’s laws on a citizen’s use of deadly force. They can be on the phone with Chief Justice John Roberts and it would mean nothing.

They actually put their neighbors more at risk if the guy was armed.

Agreed. Please discuss your understanding of the laws applicable here. I always enjoy your legal analysis.

This is a very illogical argument.

You're claiming one of the more important things for the dad/son was to "make sure he doesn't hurt you" and yet there they were standing outside of their truck, 1 of them on the road waiting for Arbery.

So now, making sure they didn't get hurt and "just following him" was not at all their top priority. They wanted to physically confront him, their actions make it so that this is a very reasonable assumption. Otherwise, they would have pursued from the comfort of the inside of the vehicle.

I didn't say that.

I'm saying that anyone who thinks thats ordinary people won't take care of things when leftist render the criminal justice system impotent to do so, are kidding themselves.

Leftism is your enemy, not me.

Yea, I'm not saying they were hunting him down with intent to kill, but when you fire a shot before the victim actually makes physical contact with you, it does show that you had a bit of an itchy trigger finger.

Yep. I'm sure "leftism" is a YUUUUUGE problem in Glynn County, Georgia.
